Dear Loneanimator,
I would like to use this illustration in my personal blog, for a series of articles made as a guided reading to 'The Lord of the Rings'. I will have no economical benefit on this use, will not modify your work, and will credit it properly.
This is an example on a previous article: finduriel.blogspot.com.es/2016… Bombadil is about to appear, and so does the Old Man Willow.
Thank you for your attention,
Monica

Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier about your reply and link. I can't understand anything of what you're writing in your blog, but I can clearly see WHAT you're writing about Your blog is wonderfully visual, and a real delight to just browse.

Thank you very much for your kind comment The article was a commented reading of chapters 4 and 5 of LOTR. This is a quite tricky article, where I discussed the family relationships between Frodo, Bilbo, Merry and Pippin (quite a challenge!), and also some details of their songs. In the Old Forest section, where your illustration is, I discussed the role of the Old Man Willow as villain (or not!) in the Old Forest, such an ancient place in Middle Earth.
I'm afraid the next chapter will be trickier even... Tom Bombadil is a tough matter to discuss xD
Will notify you if I use some more Bombadil drawings from your portfolio

Actually.. I think they're water rats. I haven't read the poem for a while but I think they're mentioned somewhere.

yeah.. you're right:
"Hey, Tom Bombadil! Whither are you going?"
said fair Goldberry. "Bubbles you are blowing,
frightening the finny fish and the brown water-rat,
startling the dabchicks, and drowing your feather-hat!"
ignorant me..
