Description The goofball

Edit: This picture has been uploaded almost a year ago! For all this time, nobody noticed Hay Lin's left hand is drawn wrong. Her thumb is pointing outward, which is of course a contrariwise to an actual human anatomy. Since palm of the hand is down, the thumb should be other way around. I can't believe I missed it for so long but then again, I am not the only one who missed it. Since this has been drawn with pencils, I was able to completely redraw the hand, then re-scan, re-edit and re-upload the picture. There might be more differences to the original version since I had to go through that entire process.

Last member of team is a happy, easy-going, at times absent-minded girl with Chinese heritage, Hay Lin, whose ability to completely ignore the gravity of the situation because she saw a cute bunny is only outmatched by her ability to absolutely demolish the place with tornadoes. She also knows martial arts, obviously, and can whip out some moves when magic is not enough. It's not bad or anything, it's actually my favourite stereotype about the Chinese.
Despite her boundless mental prowess to treat a fight with henchmen of evil like a game of chase or hide and seek, she gets proper emotional when family or friends (or the aforementioned bunny)Β are in dire danger. Sometimes it is almost as if her innocent childish nature is a ruse so that she can unload a massive shockwave of icy air and blow everything away.
Clearly enough, her powers are that of the element of air. She is the fastest flier and combined with a bit of water, can even freeze villains where they stand. She has other neat abilities, such as focusing in order to hear distant conversations since sound waves are carried by air.

Fun fact: According to the show, she is 12 years old which is both amusing and awesome because a little girl spin kicking a giant snake lizard monster is one of the most badass things I have ever seen. Damm, shows for girls back in the day were something.

Another fun fact: I completelly disregarded the age when drawing these characters. That might explain why Hay Lin here has more in common with Bayonetta than a care-free 12 year old. But hey, even Bayonetta is a playful girl inside.

Well, like I said. Sometimes you just have to go back and fix a mistake, even when nobody knows about it. I still think its funny nobody, not even me, saw this mistake.

Amazing artwork! All you witch drawings! With all this details, amazing!Β

I dont really like that the Witch girls are only 12,Β  too. (There acting a lot more like grown ups, too. )Β  But another funfact: In the comircs, there body change in the transformation too. There looking a lot older, there bigger and have ha much more female bodytype.

Thanks for the compliments.

Well, I've drawn them more mature to match their personality. I am aware of the body change in their transformation. In the animated show, they are visibly taller. In one episode, Cornelia actually figures out how to make herself taller without becoming a guardian. She uses this to date older boys, obviously.

A pet bunny and tornado powers, you say? Okay, I'm sold.
Love the contrast between how cute and colorful she is against the dark, demonic samurai-ish henchmen around her.

Well, she does not really have a pet bunny. But tornado and bunny is something which gets mixed in the show. There is a scene where she sees a fox chasing a rabbit. Her solution is to conjure a tornado to "prevent" the fox from catching the rabbit. Surprisingly it works and the rabbit is safe.
She does this when she is supposed to help her friend from possibly plummeting down a snowy hill.

To be fair, the situation is a bit more complex. I just chose it to describe her because she is often absent-minded and cheerful like that.

Oh and demonic samurai-ish henchmen? Well, I guess it is because of the helmet. I often take way too many liberties when drawing things.

Okay, and I gotta say, using a tornado to protect a bunny from a fox is the kind of overkill I love. Bonus points that she pulled it off.
