Description
“I take back what I said about the plantlike races being my favorite, solely because the one brought to be today. The Flora.”“Flora; [Flohr-uh]”
“I don’t say this often, but I, Sammuel Fukase Oni, am afraid of these beings. Not entirely due to their actions, but rather their presence. There are so many unknowns surrounding them, that an average lifespan and height cannot be found. The current belief is that there are too many factors that alter a Flora’s height and lifespan. Another ominous unknown about this race, is that nobody knows the history behind their existence. For all extensive purposes, Flora simply appeared one day. Based on appearance alone, these are anthropomorphic plants.”
“Fantatree; [Fan-tuh-tree]”
“The living tree, Fantatree, can be found in various woodlands, such as forests and taigas. Fantatrees can appear are humanoid or monstrous, with the ladder being more common. Due to being living trees, their bodies are composed of wood and bark of said tree, which is to be expected. However, a Fantatree can have an assortment of additional features, from multiple limbs to wooden wings, all seemingly individualized and without pattern. Another boggling trait of these Flora, is their affinity to not only Abyssal Magic, but to Chaos Magic as well. Similar to Botan, Fantatrees are carnivores, with excellent hunting tactics to boot. Interestingly enough, if you’re not on their menu, Fantatrees are relatively harmless.”
“Perennial; [Puh-ren-ee-uhl]”
“The living flower, Perennial, can be found nigh anywhere on Estea. Perennials only appear humanoid, unlike their peers. However, Perennials are also made of the materials their plants are, similar to Fantatrees, this makes no sense biologically. Moreover, Perennials are omnivores, unique to most other plantlike races. Paradoxically, Perennials also have affinities to Abyssal and Chaos Magic like the Fantatrees, despite not perceiving to need them. No hunting methods of Perennials have been recognized, as their only notable behavior is their increasingly friendly demeanor to Humans and any non plant races. I don’t like what this entails.”
“Little is known about the history and culture of Floras. All I know is that they unnerve me. Like, I can understand Fantatrees, big trees that may look or act scary, but Perennials, why do they have Abyssal Magic affinities? Not to mention both affinities towards Chaos Magic, an incredibly rare and powerful type of magic, that most races cannot be born with. It just seems to me that there is more going on than what’s on the surface regarding the Flora.”
