Description
“The sixth day is here, and with it, brings a race known simply as Reptilian.”“Reptilian; [rep-til-ee-uhn]”
“Intelligent beings with relations to reptiles of the world would be the easiest explanation of this race. However, there are many things that make this race and its variants unique and frankly confusing. Firstly, amongst the six major variants, they themselves are split into two groups. One called Demi, the other called Scaled.”
“Flyer; [Flahy-er]”
“Flyers are part of the Scaled subclass of Reptilian, as their physicality are much more animalistic, taking similarities form the common flying lizard. Flyers make their homes in forests, freshwater, and swamp biomes. Flyers have an average lifespan of 60 years with a maturation at 16. They grow to an average height of 5 feet and 6 inches or 1.68 meters. Although Flyers can be seen in other civilizations and locations in general, they typically stay in civilizations of their kin in their home. Contrary to their name, they do not fly, rather they glide effectively due to the flaps of skin to offer periods of airtime. Flyers molt from time to time, afterwards, they cannot fly for a while. They have an indifference to all races, however hold an unyielding grudge when called out on their flying capabilities.”
“Geko; [Gek-o]”
“Gekos are the second variant of the Scaled subclass, simply put, they are more advanced Crested Geckos. Gekos live in canyons and deserts. Gekos have an average lifespan of 50 with a maturation at 12. Additionally, their average height is 4 feet or 1.22 meters. Gekos are exceptionally fast, bolting at any sign of danger; but interestingly enough, they prefer to walk on all fours and run on two legs. Gekos also shed their skin, which they use as distractions, as well as their ability to lose their tail temporally. Gekos are rarely seen in civilizations, as they enjoy lazing about, basking in the sunlight. Gekos are untrusting of most races, but their trust can be gained.”
“Caimen; [Key-mehn]”
“The final subclass of the Scaled, the Caimen. They are also known as true lizardfolk, as they share more animalistic features with Crocodiles. These Scaled prefer to make their home in the brackish swamps. Caimens live for 100 years on average with a maturation at 18. Additionally, they have an average height of 7 feet and 2 inches or 2.18 meters. Physically, they are an advanced crocodile, both bipedal and smart. However, they still maintain their deadly jaw strength, as well as speed underwater, with their signature death roll to boot. By all accounts, they are deadly adversaries. Additionally, Caimen are the only Scaled to not molt. Socially, they live in small tribes or groups for life. Interestingly, Human theories state that the highest powers might be Caimen in disguise, slowly leading Humans to their demise. I frankly find this theory ridiculous, Humans are bringing their demise much faster than the theory suggests.”
“Lizardfolk; [Liz-erd-fohk]”
“The first of the second subclass of Reptilian, the Demi, recognized for being less animalistic than the Scaled. Lizardfolk live in swamps, canyons, and deserts. They have an average lifespan of 100 years with a maturation at 18. Additionally, their average height is 6 feet and 2 inches or 1.88 meters. Physically, they share many similarities with Beastfolk as they share the similar intensities in animalistic features, in the ears, arms, legs, and tail. Notably, Lizardfolk have their scales in more places. Moreover, their shedding is an annoyance, as their molt appears in many individualized areas. Socially, Lizardfolk live in civilizations with no preference of race. Moreover, they adapt to the social norm of their location quickly, with Lizardfolk being perceived as a very easygoing race. They are indifferent to Humans.”
“Lamias; [Ley-mee-uhs]”
“Lamias are another part of the Demi subclass, Lamias are most recognized of the Reptilians as a whole. Lamias can live almost anywhere, as long as the climate is warm. Lamias have an average lifespan of 120 years with a maturation at 18. Moreover, they have an average height of 6 feet 10 inches or 2.08 meters for their Human top half, with the average length of their tails being 10ft or 3.05 meters. Physically, Lamias are Humans with their bottom half being that of a snake, with scales covering their arms and some parts of their body as well. Despite their large size, Lamias are remarkably fast, being even faster moving on their stomach. Furthermore, their control over their tail is superb, able to attack and utilize it as a rudimentary limb. Lamias molt on a monthly basis. Interestingly enough, Lamias are a female only race, relying solely on Humans to continue their race. Thus, they have an incredibly positive relation to Humans.”
“Gorgons; [Gawr-guhns]”
“The final variant of the Demi subclass. Gorgons are the least animal like when compared to the other Reptilians. Gorgons make their homes in caves and forests, as well as abandoned temples simply for the aesthetic. Gorgons have an average lifespan of 200 years, with a maturation at 18. Their average height is 6 feet and 1 inch or 1.85 meters. Physically, Gorgons are Humans with snakes for hair, however it is solely the hair on one's head that would be snakes. Interestingly, the snakes act on their own, but they don’t have their own conscience. Rather, they act on the Gorgon’s subconscious, which can lead to some entertaining interactions. Gorgons have the innate ability to stun and petrify anyone that looks into their eyes, the ability is at will, but for safety they wear eye protection. Gorgons have a knack for decorations and aesthetics, making them great interior decorators. Socially, Gorgons live either in solace or in civilization. Although kind, Gorgons can have a mean temper. Gorgons enjoy the company of Humans, either as statues or living.”
“Reptilians is a race that contrasts each other, with some being opposites to each other, biologically or socially. Which cements the fact that Reptilian subclasses dislike those in the opposing side, forming mutual bonds with one that share their respective subclass instead.”
