Description “Another day marches forth, and in grand swings and lumbering steps, today brings us the Gigans.”
“Gigan; [Gig-an]”
“Gigans, as the name suggests, are the giant folk of Estea. All variants are known for their immense size and power, as each one is not to be taken lightly. Focal points of various tales of their time, Gigans are facing the brunt end of a cultural shift as times change rapidly around them. With many civilizations not even bothering optimizing structures for Gigan size, let alone allowing them to pass through, a majority of the inhabitants of Estea simply don't have room for the giants of yore. This brought most Gigans a strong dislike for advancements in society, preferring life in small tribes or alone.”

“Ogre; [Oh-ger]”
“The first of the Gigans, also the smallest giant, Ogres live in a constant state of oxymoron. Ogres can live in forests, taigas, canyons, mountains, and practically everywhere else. Ogres have an average lifespan of 100 years, reaching maturity at 16. Ogres have an average height of 12 feet and 6 inches or 3.81 meters. Interestingly, Ogre children are near identical to Human children, only adopting their physical appearance and size when reaching maturity. Physically, Ogres are similar to Orcs, bulky in build and bearing similar tusks and ears. Ogres have tanner skin however, alongside 1 to 2 horns, where unlike other horned creatures, these horns are connected to the skull itself, although a tough and durable bone, the biological placement of the horn makes for a unique weak point when broken. Other notable features besides their size is their voracious appetite, often resorting to cannibalism or hunting or intelligent species on their simple desire of hunger. Socially, Ogres live in small tribes often resembling Orcs or Goblinoids in social structure. Ogres have brought an abysmal reputation to Gigans as a whole for their unconventional and uncontrolled nature, with some being completely oblivious to their faults. Although much smaller than other Gigans and are capable of living in other civilizations, their reputation and nature makes it a rarity to see one in other civilizations. Not to mention the discrimination they’d face. Although not every Ogre is morally corrupt, when it’s possible for one to eat Human children solely due to hunger, it’s hard not to give them the benefit of doubt.”

“Giant; [Jahy-uhnt]”
“Roughly the most common and well known variant of the Gigan, the traditional Giant. Giants are often found in mountains, giant woods, or vast plains. Giants have an average lifespan of 300 years with a maturation age at 25. They make true to their name, as they have an average height of 45 feet or 13.72 meters, but varying sizes are possible. Physically, Giants have exceptional strength and endurance, easily posing threats to almost any race. However, aside from their broad builds, Giants are relatively Humans only big. However they do posses affinities toward Terra and Natura magic. Socially, Giants are often categorized into two main groups, gentle and destructive, the former consists of Giants living in solace or small groups, they are typically kind to most every race. The ladder is the opposite, living in solace or in small tribes, they sadistically rampage about. Of course there are Giants that don’t fall into either. Giants are typically viewed with awe, not necessarily hatred nor compassion.”

“Kaiju; [Kai-joo]”
“The most unique of the Gigan, the Kaiju, typically dormant underground or deep in the ocean. Kaiju have no documented lifespan, let alone height. Kaiju are a special race, like the Vampires, Kaiju is merely a descriptor rather than a single species. Kaiju are classified as super massive creatures, they can be Humanoid, animalistic, monstrous, or even eldritch; they’re only shared similarities is their size, typically averaging hundreds of feet in height. As a Kaiju’s physicalities depends on the individual, their abilities follow suit, their only shared trait being ridiculous durability and strength. Kaiju are immensely rare, only really mentioned in legends of ancients. In said tales, Kaiju are typically realizations of primal fear, or ideals. Where one can wreak havoc by either a whim or a more justified motive. Although most don’t believe their existence, I do, as if Colossi can exist then Kaiju can too.”

“Tarrasque; [Tah-rask]”
“Truly one of the most feared beast to walk on Estea. More so than any other Gigan, as although Kaiju can top them in size, this beast of retribution can top them in raw power. Also because Tarrasque is very real. Although being 60 feet or 18.29 meters tall and 80 feet or 24.38 meters long, not the largest beast in the history of Estea. The Tarrasque is effectively immortal. Motherfucker cannot die, or better written, no method throughout the history of Estea has put it down for good. That’s right IT, throughout the history of Estea, all the pain and terror, was caused by ONE. I dread to imagine the obscene possibility of multiple existing. Needless to say, this siege beast is both an unstoppable force and an immovable object. Worst yet, no one knows where this thing IS.”

“Gigans are truly ancient beasts and creatures of its time. Some are nice, most aren’t. By Rachnera above, be careful when even seeing one. As even the nice and gentle ones can lose their temper or forget their strength. Why do you think Colossi won't move?”
