“Descendants are quite the race indeed, as they are Estea’s advisors for Heaven and Hell. This species consists of descendants of the various Demons and Angels that inhabit the outer reaches of Estea, with many bearing interesting potential and relationships with said Demons and Angels. Moreover, many of their origins are still undecided or wildly different from one another, with some being the offspring of Demons and Angels with others being typical Humans infused with Abyssal or Divine Magic. Nonetheless, Descendants are remarkably popular folk, with a surprising level of common appearances. As such, many of their questions regarding biology and origin have been overlooked in place for their overall impact historically and culturally. Which is to say that the Descendants have quite the importance to Estea as a whole.”

“Tiefling; [Tee-fluhng]”
“Ah the ever popular Tiefling, you know, in spite of their popularity and recognizability little is really known about their origin. Tiefling are by far the most common variant of Descendants, although preferring warmer climates Tieflings can be found anywhere. Tieflings have an average lifespan of 150 years and reach adulthood at age 18. By nature Tieflings can vary wildly in height and physique, with a rough average made for their height recording to be 7 feet tall or 2.13 meters tall. Although physically variable, most Tieflings are remarkably Humanoid in build and structure with their horn shape and style varying alongside their tail. This always surprises people, that Tieflings are Humanoid when most Demons are quite abstract in physique, but the main populace of Hell are simply referred to as Fiends and are the most Humanoid in build, similar to Big Reds. These guys rarely get any recognition due to their sheer commonplace and unremarkable nature when compared to other Demons. Moreover, Young Grimm’s recent overview on the denizens of Hell didn’t include them; I’m guessing he forgot or was simply uninterested. I doubt he could’ve predicted 4 other events following his influence. Nonetheless, Tieflings have a variety of skin tones as well, with purplish skin being most common with reddish following in second. Physically sturdy, Tieflings are recognized for their wit, confidence, and general likability. Magic wise, Tieflings have an affinity toward Abyssal and Infernal Magic, making it one of the few in Estea openly able to use demonic magic. Socially, Tieflings are seen as outsiders and in order to participate in society they have to quickly learn how to interact with others in order to even be treated as an equal. Their demonic heritage and origin gives many suspicion of their true intent with many blaming the faults of the world on them. In reality their hellish heritage does little to impact their personality, with many remarkably independent in nature due to the general mistrust instead. Tieflings are charming and have a great sense of social awareness. Generally their demonic parents do not impact a Teifling’s upbringing heavily, it does make for some confusing and awkward social interactions that require the Tiefling’s parents.”

“Angeling; [Eyn-juhl-ling]”
“Considerably rarer than Tiefling but just as popular, the Angeling are individuals who bear a divine heritage. Although preferring cooler climates, much like Tieflings, Angelings can be found anywhere really. Angelings have an average lifespan of 160 years with reaching maturity at 18. Angelings vary in height much like Tieflings, due to many celestial beings having a wide range of sizes and shapes. Angelings can vary greatly in physique and size, but an average range can be drawn at 6 feet and 2 inches or 1.88 meters to 8 feet or 2.44 meters in height. Much like Tieflings, Angelings are remarkably Humanoid in appearance most of the time, however their wings and halo retain the same function and properties throughout the entire race. Although some don’t even bear wings, Angeling wings are intangible structures that can grant flight. Although Angeling skin tone ranges along the typical Human skin tones, their wings and halos can be a variety of colors and shapes. Angelings are physically strong, but they excel at Divine and Galern Magic casting. Making them one of the common sources of divine magic in Estea. Moreover, their heritage and nature makes them quite charming people to be around. With many societies and civilizations treating them vastly different to Tieflings. Socially Angels live amongst others this way, with many having a cheerful disposition on life. Interestingly, Angelings dislike Tieflings and are scared of Flora. Most interesting however is the knowledge that some Angels can choose to live down here, and thus become a unique subvariant of Angeling.”

“Quite an interesting species category, the Descendants much more important to Estea than one would think. They act as a bridge between the Divine and Abyssal culture and history. Estea has remarkably little knowledge of the magic, culture, and history of Heaven and Hell and these Descendants are key getaways to that knowledge. However, what is vastly more impactful than their ability to teach us about their family history is that they are the ambassadors for Demons and Angels. Recently, Descendants have been attempting to reach a mutual bond with their Abyssal and Divine kin and are attempting to immigrate them into our civilizations. Although some races dislike these rising efforts cough cough Humans cough cough, I and many others find this a major cultural development that is highly valued. I personally like it as it bridges the gaps of Ancient History and begins to halt the rampant and insensitive hatred to anything demonic.”
