Description
“These final two species of note will end this grand event of ours. Entering in at day 60, the Corruptoids.”“Corruptoid; [Kuh-ruhp-toid]”
“Similar to the term Humanoid, Corruptoids are a vast range of creatures that can vary wildly in size, shape, and power. Making their home in the Corrupted biomes of Estea, Corruptoids are not born into this world, rather they are made from existing creatures. Creatures unlucky enough to stumble into the Corrupted biomes have very low chances of surviving as the nature of corruption is incredibly dangerous. Although harmlessly sticking onto stone and metals, corruption by nature is exceptionally volatile, reacting to most any living matter in a particularly interesting way. When in contact with skin, fur, or foliage; corruption would latch onto said material and begin multiplying rapidly encasing the entire creature. Once covered, the corruption begins to fuse with the living matter and by unknown means, start molding and shifting into a mangled but mesmerizing visage of the creature. Only at this stage will corruption gain control over the innate matter of weapons, armor, and clothing the individual has had. Although brutal and disturbing, the shift in form is something truly special, as it will incorporate the innate matter into the living matter to stabilize and strengthen the overall form. Moreover, the shape it ends with is relatively unique, relying on the individual’s consciousness and soul to assume a form based on its thoughts. Despite this incredibly interesting piece of information, one cannot simply research a Corruptoid. A living biohazard, these Corruptoids are to be eradicated or contained when seen approaching outside civilizations. Engagement is not necessary and even discouraged when encountering one in its natural habitat.”
“Spooder; [Spoo-der]”
“Frankly Spooders are the most recognized variant of Corruptoid out there. Spooders can be created from various insects and arthropods, even the Insectoids and Aranea are susceptible. Lifespan and Heights can vary due to the nature of corruption. Most Spooders created from common arthropods have an average lifespan of 2 to 10 years, with Spooders created from Insectoids and Aranea have an average lifespan of 70 to 150 years. Moreover, Spooders can range anywhere from 1 foot and 4 inches or 0.41 meters to 8 feet and 7 inches or 2.62 meters. Despite their variable origins, lifespan, and height; Spooders maintain a general similarity in appearance. That appearance being large, jagged, spider-like arthropods. With the only difference between them being that the Aranea and Insectoid Spooders are generally more Humanoid in appearance. With an exoskeleton purple in hue, Spooders are remarkably sturdy creatures with surprising speed. Spooders only bear magic ability whether their original form welded magic before the assimilation. Although only bearing jagged limbs and sparse, dagger-like fangs, a Spooder’s offensive capability is weak but overlooked in place of their infective ability to spread corruption. For Spooders, their spread is negligible, only really spreading through physical attack and contact. Socially Spooders show off their true danger, as they live in large nests together, typically housing a stronger subvarint known as the Queen Spooder inside. Individual Spooders are fairly stupid and primal, only seeking food for themselves and materials for their nest. Interestingly, Spooders have a fear of bright lights and the divine.”
“Hunter; [Huhn-ter]”
“The most common Corruptoid, Hunters are also the easiest to form. Hunters can form from a variety of creatures, in fact, most animals would become Hunters. Their sheer availability of forming form near any animal is combined with the inherent nature of corruption to create a truly variable species. Hunters can range so greatly in lifespan, height, physique, and power it's ridiculous. Nonetheless a rudimentary range has been recorded. Hunters have an average lifespan ranging from 15 years to 80 years and have an average height ranging from 2 feet and 4 inches or 0.71 meters to 12 feet and 2 inches or 3.71 meters. Theoretically a generalized depiction of a Hunter Corruptoid would be impossible due to the sheer sample size, however several patterns have been found. These Corruptoids will either take the form of a quadruped more often then a biped. Most forms taken will boast several visual influences, like the individual's genus, surrounding items, and even nearby magic and elements. Examples would be a Munkey under a storm would become an great ape creature with an affinity for Cyclone Magic; another being a crocodile in the mud would become a large semi bipedal reptilian with an affinity for Terra Magic. Once this pattern was found, it became possible to hypothesize what were the originating creatures and what could’ve happened during the assimilation. Generally, Hunters lack defense and speed for a focus in strength and offensive capabilities. Hunters are capable of utilizing each of its body parts as a weapon with many adapting strategies and combinations of attacks. Unlike most corruptoids, Hunters are rarely dangerously infective, as they require far more points of infection for the corruption to spread. Socially, Hunter Corruptoids are nomadic and constantly in search of combat. Many would spar with one another as a method of training and bonding. Individuals are arrogant and dull, with little activity left in their brains. Interestingly they have a strong dislike towards anything Humanoid.”
“Skidder; [Skid-er]”
“Even though the Corruption biome is large and relatively unexplored land, I never expected this variant to exist. Skidders can be created from most any sea life and water-based species. I honestly didn’t know that there are lakes, rivers, and beaches in the Corruption biome, Skidders make their home in these waters of the locale. Skidders have an average lifespan ranging from 20 to 90 years and have an average length ranging from 6 feet and 5 inches or 1.96 meters to 23 feet and 8 inches or 7.21 meters. Physically, Skidders have a smaller pool of variation than other Corruptoids, with Skidders having two major subclasses, Grandtail and Grandmaw. Grandtail Skidders have lengthy bodies and are built like eels, with Grandmaw Skidders known for their massive jaws and are built similar to sharks. Generally, Skidders are bioluminescent creatures and remarkably fast and hostile, being in the water with one is practically a death sentence. Moreover, one cannot simply escape to land as Skidders can not only breathe on the surface but are just as mobile on land as when in the water. Bearing no magic and only attacking via bites and bashes, Skidder’s main danger comes from their speed. Socially solitary, Skidders prowl their territory for potential prey. Individuals bear little notable personality aside from sadistic enjoyment when hunting. Although perceived as apex predators, Skidders are timid and outright afraid of the intelligent sea life in other regions of Estea. Which makes their infectivity threat surprisingly low as they would only attack those in their territory and will not move into outer waters.”
“Aeir; [Air]”
“Rarely you’d even hear of an Aeir Corruptoid, heck until recently most people won’t know what corruption is. Aeirs are particuraly rare and wildly dangerous. Aeirs are more often made from Reagles, birds and rarely Harpies. However, these Corruptoids are especially notorious for their creation from mythic and legendary beasts like Phoenixes and Dragons. This range makes Aeirs vary wildly in power and physical attributes. Aeirs can have an average lifespan ranging from 60 to 1000 years and an average size ranging from 10 feet or 3.05 meters to 120 feet or 36.58 meters depending on the Aeir’s originating creature. Physically Aeirs are much more intense in appearance, coated in dark hues, these flying beasts are incredibly strong and sturdy with a slow nature. The majority of Aeirs boast grand horns and jagged features. Like the Spooders, Aeirs adopt the magic capability of their originating host. Flying terrors are brutalistic fighters, with an intense skill in combat. Moreover, Aeirs are dangerous in spreading corruption, as these Corruptoids can belch large attacks of corruption alongside their maws themselves flowing with corruption. Socially Aeirs are solitary beasts and live in constant motion to hunt prey. Individuals are intelligent, brutish and hateful, but intelligent. Many high ranking Aeirs are said to oversee the Corruptoids as a whole.”
“Amorphous; [Uh-mawr-fuhs]”
“Amorphous Corruptoids are by far the most intriguing out of the species. Amorphous Corruptoids are only created from intelligent creatures like Goblinoids, Mycans, and Draconics. However their most intriguing trait is their unique appearance and set of skills, each Amorphous Corruptoid is unique, no matter if the exact same materials were present during assimilation. This is due to Amorphous Corruptoids focussing on molding their form based on the mind and soul of their host. However I for one have no clue how an Amorphous Corruptoid does this, as their physical forms have attributes that were never present during assimilation, this creation of material is highly interesting. Unique to Amorphous Corruptoids, these Corruptoids have no altered lifespan and keep the lifespan of their originating host. Moreover, the average height of these Corruptoids are variable without pattern, so much so that an average cannot be recorded. Physically unique, Amorphous are by far the strongest of the species, even though Aeirs are incredibly strong, Amorphous boast great speed, strength, defense, and above all else; abilities outside the bounds of their original host. Additionally, these Corruptoids have a natural affinity towards this mysterious Corruption Magic. Moreover, Amorphous are by far the most dangerous in infectivity, with their bodies coated in corruption and their attacks seeped in corruptive fluids. Amorphous Corruptoids vary in social behaviors, some being solitary or hostile and others social and friendly. These Corruptoids are not only the only variant to be kind or friendly, but to have a kinship towards the Dark Elementals.”
“Corruptions are a truly unique race, a species made from an unknown material and made into a variety of creatures through unknown means. I wish more research could be made on these creatures, however the rampant dangers outweigh the possibility of knowledge gained. As of now, most research efforts are localized by the edge of the Corruption biome with lockdown measures put in place to prevent corruption from spreading. These efforts consist of data samples of the surrounding flora. What we’ve found is surprising, the flora are plants infused with corruption and adapted into volatile plant life. Many of these plants are either incredibly poisonous, razor bladed barb, or can spread corruption through unique methods. Luckily many fears of the Corruption biome itself spreading are placed to rest, as the biome doesn’t seem to grow outside an invisible perimeter. Even the branches of the trees never reach past this perimeter. With all of this said, the Corruption biome is an incredibly volatile environment filled with life adapted into hostile or parasitical dangers. The biome itself doesn't seem to fit with the rest of Estea, even ancient texts never mention it. I’ll be surprised to see if a civilization or society can form in such an environment.”

I’m pretty sure no one would want to see what happens if one of my creatures got infected by this corruption and became a Corruptoid
Especially the Phasoromaly as no one would know what might happen with that
