Description 16x20 acrylic on gessobord. This began when I simply poured some remaining colors from a previous project onto a small blank board, sprayed (prayed) and tilted away. I liked the resulting patterns enough to try and develop it further. I executed a handful of paint events to produce flowing curved designs of yellow/gold, and enhanced a central gold orb near the center. I then washed complimentary purples over the surface and let them bleed into the partially dried golds. There are some scratch artifacts here, from the original careless pouring of the black from the cup, and overall I'm not as pleased with this as previous efforts in this "Liquid" series, but it does document the process so I wanted to log it.

Actualy, you ended up with a very intersting 3D product.
It has a different kind of beauty than your other work in that it is more industrial like.
All and all, I like it!

I never thought about the 3D aspect of this piece, but I do see what you mean.

I think that you ended up with a great piece. It really doesn't matter what happens and when, as long as you so skillfuly manipulte the paint to creat a beautiful color contrast and balance.
