Howard the Duck ended up in the Disney universe, where his archenemy Dr. Bong stole a safe containing Solego's jade prison from Scrooge McDuck's Money Bin.

Dr. Bong opened the safe and freed Solego by removing the ruby and gold setting from the jade block, but Solego turned on Dr. Bong and sent him home while getting ready to conquer both the Marvel and Disney universes.

Scrooge McDuck called in Morgana McCawber to defeat Solego, but after she used her magic to separate the ruby from the gold setting, Magica De Spell interfered out of annoyance that no one was trying to stop her from stealing Scrooge's Number One Dime, resulting in the ruby and the golden setting to disappear into unknown locations.

Morgana has finally figured out where they disappeared to. The gold setting ended up in the Marvel universe, where the Spider-Man villain team the Sinister Six are having a meeting.

Howard the Duck is less than pleased that he's been pulled into yet another interdimensional crisis and expresses his annoyance by briefly retelling how he ended up in Cleveland after helping Dakimh the Enchanter, Jennifer Kale, Korrek the Barbarian, and Man-Thing defeat Thog the Netherspawn.

Mickey Mouse asks Morgana where the ruby is. Morgana answers that the ruby is in Mouseton Gym, which horrifies Mickey because Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck are there and will likely end up possessed by Solego if they don't retrieve the ruby fast.
