Description
Web Spider (aka Web Spidus) from Megaman X4.Part 5/12 of my MMX tribute project.
Aaaaaargh... this one is later than ever... damn, my job really got me late on way too many things >w<
That, and this one is one challenging fucker as is... well, the level of details is on a similar level to Neon Tiger that was right before him, but that's not the main problem, it's the damn anatomy.
I mean seriously, just look at this guy... there's only so many poses you can use for an anthropomorphic arachnid while still c\showcasing the more important details... and the best pose one could possibly draw him in was used for his official artwork |D
So yeah, it took waaaaay too long to ever sketch this damn bug, and finishing the artwork was one troublesome task... and my rather time-consuming job surely didn't help. Heh, but all things considered, Spider was an awesome boss, he was one of those that showcased the difference between X & Zero rather well. Cause X4 was the first that let you play the whole game as either X or Zero, one suited for long range combat, the other for close range combat, and while this fight was moderately easy with X, it was bloody hard with Zero, so yeah, bonus points for you not so friendly neighbourhood spider reploid >D
And considering how hard it was to position this guy, AND to apply all the details, I would be especially thankful for some feedback here. Please?

For some reason, my attention was drawn straight to his hand in the back, it's just so crazy cuz of how small it is but still has all the detail!!!

I think it definitely looks the furthest back, because it's smaller and the pattern is smaller

Or rather, "squeeze him in and still draw him in a cool pose" as I'm guessing just squeezing a character in wouldn't be as problematic |D

Really? I always found him to be the easiest boss in the game as Zero, he's weak to the z saber. Either way great job!

He's weak to Shipuuga after you get it from Slash Beast, but without it, well, it's just hard to hit him without getting hit by his web at the same time. X on the other hand can just blast him with a charged shot while clinging to a wall.

There is a window to get around 2-4 hits on him while he is coming down and the delay before his attack. To avoid the attack dash jump up the wall and if you need to, dash jump torwards the opposite wall. The z saber does enough damage to beat him quickly without his weakness. This is why most people choose him as their first maverick (if not magma dragoon [ride armor ftw]).

The easiest to beat as Zero is actually Slash Beast.

It really just depends on if his AI makes him roar like a idiot while I wail on him. But he's is quick and hard to predict when he is attacking. Web spider does the same thing every time and his attacks is easy to avoid, even in his second phase he is even more open to attacks.

It all depends on the AI, on that same note, Web Spider might not go down low enough to get hit by Zero's saber without jumping.

You can still plant enough hits and get away from the attacks easily.
