Raiden from the Metal Gear series forDrawn as a little belated birthday present for ~Krzeslo-H , whew, had quite a ride with this one... damn you overly detailed character designs |3
Though at least I was able to get some really good reference arts for this, especially the ones from ~deronar - browse.deviantart.com/art/Meta⦠, thanks to which the whole work went a lot more smoother that it would without 'em ^^ but even so, drawing Mr. Lightning Bolt wasn't exactly an easy task |3
Though I must say, I am very happy with the result, and it's not that often I get THIS happy about the outcome of my work >3
Heh, I'm yet to play the full game, but I have played parts of it, so I had a pretty good idea how Raiden should look, heh, it took me a while to find a good pose, and after a few attempts decided to use some pose reference, hehe, and kudos to you if you can notice who's pose is this >3
Anyways, hope you all enjoy (and leave some feedback), and that ~Krzeslo-H likes her present >3

Ahem... you are aware that not a single one of actual DMC creators had anything to do with MGR, rite...?
While it was made by Platinum Games, which is mostly composed out of former Capcom employees, including Hideaki Kamiya and his crew, the creators of the original DMC1, it's not these guys alone, and Hideaki himself pointed out several times that he did NOT have anything to do with this title |D
And still, it's an awesome slasher, which proves you don't have to be Kamiya to do it good, which gets me even more hyped for a potential Darksiders sequel made by these guys (dunno if you knew, but Platinum Games did want to get their hands on this title when THQ went down).

Platinum Games, formerly known as Cloves Studio, is like I said, composed almost entirely out of former Capcom employees, including many people who made the original DMC games, like Hideki Kamiya, the main creator of the series >3
Hence games like Bayonetta end up with a rather DMCish feel.
Yet with Revengeance, it's a lil' more complicated >D
You see, Hideo Kojima, the creator of the Metal Gear series, always dreamed of being a movie director, hence his MG series have a certain movie-like feel, and he is VERY fussy about anything that is done with it. Therefore nothing can be done with the series without Kojima's approval, hence MGR, while being a different genre than MG or MGS, had to maintain a certain MGish feel that Kojima would approve, something that Kamiya couldn't achieve, hence he didn't take part in making this game (yeah, his games are great in their own way and all, but not exactly fitting the MG theme (kinda like when Arc did Persona 4 Arena, it was still Atlus who wrote the story, cause as good as Arc's stories are, they just couldn't make one to fit the SMT series)).
Heh, I just hope they will keep Darksiders true to it's theme in a similar way.

Hell, you could always check out the original, first, Metal Gear games, since they're not exactly hard to emulate (they're both for the good ol' NES), hehe, just stay away from a crap known as "Snake's Revenge", which was a crappy shooter made without Kojima's approval, and basically only to boost the games sales by using a popular franchise's title...
