Bloody fantastic tutorial here. coloured pencil is my prefered trad media. However ive been neglecting it lately...My karisma's are gathering dust in their case.

definately, super soft and lovely to colour with, plus they blend like no other pencil alowing for even more colours. I went and dug mine out earlier and half of mine are missing unfortunately. The only downside to karismas are that theyre really expensive

This seems like a GRAND tut to me!
I think IΒ΄ll give it a try when the weather is nicer again (I canΒ΄t color digitally outsides, because itΒ΄s too bright for my laptop and I wouldnΒ΄t see a thing, but often feel the urge to draw/paint when the weather is fine, 'though I just canΒ΄t ignore the calling od the sun... )
The thought of trying your method in photoshop also flipped up in my mind (just read your conversation with ~Moongirlz and realized that IΒ΄m not the first one who considered this....)

Thank you for the awesome comment! Yep, yep, more than 5 people have told me they would used the tut for digital as well. I never even thought people would do that, mainly because I never knew people would even like my tut that much. The first time I uploaded this tut, it hit 2000+ favorites so I almost had a heart attack. Of course, after I reuploaded, it lost a lot of the earlier exposure.

I don't think there's anything better than being a striving colour pencil artists admiring the sheer neauty of another's colour pencil colouring and finding out there's a tutorial to help said striving artist get better and make her own style.

Wonderful! I needed a jump start in colored pencils. I pretty much guessed by looking at others how to do it, but you filled in some gaps in my knowledge that finnished it off for me! ~hugs~ Yay, now I can color!

That's an amazing technique, and thsoe colours are brilliant! My problem with my colouring seems that it would fade at any moment, because they are too soft!
