How do you make clothes stay on the model? When I make my model dance "Caramelldansen" the clothes stay in one place!

| How would I add weight to a body? When I select an area, the model doesn't bend, it just breaks along the vertices that were painted on...|

I'm not really sure what you mean by breaking along the vertices. Maybe you could try posting a picture?

Does this work the same as weighting an object onto a bone? I put wings on one of my model's heads and they move with her upper body bone instead of her head bone XD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Lunar-Stars In reply to TheAwesomeMooMoo [2013-04-15 22:56:59 +0000 UTC]

Yep. That should work as long as it's included in the .pmd file.

One more question - How do you UN-WEIGHT? I accidentally weighted something wrong and saved it and now I can't fix it.

ChrisTheDragoon In reply to TheAwesomeMooMoo [2013-05-07 01:57:43 +0000 UTC]

Just weight it to the bone its supposed to belong to.

Hey, I just realized something. Remember that one song with the words, "Ankle bone connects to the knee bone?" Human don't technically HAVE a "knee bone," but MMD models do. Do you think whoever wrote that song knew MMD was coming? XD

The knee bone is basically your knee cap. -.-

413X [2012-08-25 03:25:53 +0000 UTC]

I have a question. How do you deselect parts or well squares of the model you didn't want to weigh to the bone. Also how do you make sure, besides saving and re-opening the model, not to mess up the already weighted model when putting weight onto more than one bone? I've been trying to do both so far and the only way to fix both is to just quit PMD without saving for the first or save and then add a new bone and weigh it and repeat for the second.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Lunar-Stars In reply to 413X [2012-08-26 14:39:17 +0000 UTC]

I don't really know. I've never been able to figure that out.
I guess you just have to re-rig the dots to another bone.

it doesn't move. I've weighted it. I've added the invisible bone. I followed the 1, 1.5 and 2 tutorial. But the bone won't move and every time I open the test window, a wierd japanese error pops up that i can't translate. This happens to every tutorial I follow......

Do you know how to turn the weight to black dots? I'm trying to get rid of the coloured weights on my models shirt

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Lunar-Stars In reply to Eripmav-darkness [2012-06-22 01:49:39 +0000 UTC]

I think once the vertices are weighted, they will always be colored. Even if you weight to a different bone. I'm pretty sure, at least.

ScarredAssassin [2012-06-18 12:34:27 +0000 UTC]

Umm... What if you're trying to weigh more than one bone? Err... kinda like Miku's hair. I'm not good at explaining things...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Lunar-Stars In reply to ScarredAssassin [2012-06-19 02:09:45 +0000 UTC]

Well, then you would rig part of the (for example) hair to one bone and then the next part of the hair to the next bone, ect.

It's sort of like rigging a series of bones.

Realm1993 [2012-06-14 19:56:51 +0000 UTC]

Hi there! I used this tutorial, and I can move the hair, but for some reason, when I move the whole model, the hair doesn't go with it. So I found another tutorial that showed someone having the same problem, and when I weigh the hair to the new bones I made and then the head bone, it doesn't move either. Do you know what I am doing wrong? Or know someone who would be willing to attatch bones to the hair of this model for me? Thanks!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Lunar-Stars In reply to Realm1993 [2012-06-16 14:39:45 +0000 UTC]

I'm not quite sure I understand... So you're able to move the bones you made, and the hair will move. But when you move the model or head bone, the hair doesn't move with it?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Realm1993 In reply to Lunar-Stars [2012-06-16 15:50:52 +0000 UTC]

The first time I tried, the hair moved with the bone, but when I moved the whole model, the hair didn't go with him.
I tried a second time, after weighing the hair down to the head bone as well, and now the hair follows the model, but the bones I made don't move the hair.
Sorry! I'm bad at explaining things! XD

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Lunar-Stars In reply to Realm1993 [2012-06-16 17:38:36 +0000 UTC]

It sounds like you're having problems with the parent bones.

Okay, so the hair bones you made don't move with the model, correct?

Realm1993 In reply to Lunar-Stars [2012-06-16 19:02:48 +0000 UTC]
