Description
Sometimes you just have the urge to paint a certain subject. You feel some sort of connection to the elements, though its hard to put words to what those feelings are. I knew my elements were to be a tiger, some gorgeous peonies and a uniting darkness. I've always been drawn to darkness, it has an elegant sort of mystery that appeals to me.
I'm still trying to dig through the emotive symbolism and extract my own little personal meaning for this one.

Realism at its best! The values and rough details in this one are astounding, from the fur to the stripes to the strange surrounding flowers, there are so many things to take in. My favorite part of this piece is the delicate transition from the face fur to the neck fur. You have a real eye for texture and value, so keep it up! So, so lovely. <3
Do you have any tips on clumping fur? I have a lot of trouble capturing the texture and flow of fur, so I'd love any extra pointers!
