Has some pretty nice details, the tones are really a great point in it, remindme some of the papers of DaVinci in some extrange way... I think its a very good fractal work, maybe you can be some kind of "dA vinci" after all...

Well I wrote that I appreciated this piece on my own profile page, so I thought it was only fair to actually write a comment for it.
I have to admit the longer you look at this piece, you notice all the minute details that bolster the main structures. All the fine hair-like lines. It really does have it's own beautiful intricacy and subtly.
I've just been reading through some of the comments, and I have to agree with those that note the similarity to compass arcs. It really does remind me of a layering of subtle compass lines, and makes me feel quite uncreative for never doing anything more with a compass than working through maths classes (many a year back now....)!
I think this comment might be getting a little lengthy but it's all down to the admiration I have for this kind of work. I look forward to seeing more!

about art... i dunno, i'm just a programmer really, any beauty that's created "belongs" more to the maths and c++ i used than to my designing! still, it's nice if it appears that way to other people, and i sold my first print today so i'm more inclined to believe it now than on any other given day

Looks really cool, the texture reminds me of paper or parchment in old manuscripts, and the shape is intriguing. Although technique is not something I understand, and could comment on

I got an association with Da Vinci as well. The design and the composition are great and I too like the way it looks like traditional art. The colors are very nice too, way too many people think that fractal always have to be dark (or at least rendered on a dark background).

i usually have a really hard time choosing the colours, and especially backgrounds, to suit the "mood" of the piece. it's often a bidirectional thing too, where good changes in colour may prompt a slightly different fractal. the work on this piece led to shapes that do well on dark backgrounds... case in point: i really think [link] needs that dark look, cliche as it maybe be.

I'm not a big fan of fractal art, but this one I really like. It looks like the floorplan for an old house or the kind of pattern you'd find on old tiles.
