Description I know, I know. If I'm reading Redwall why arent I getting sylvanian families. (always wondered if there were transylvanian families).
Anyway, its not so cutesy as it seems, this is from the first book, right at the end, so if your'e planning on reading them I dont know if you should study this.

I have an incredible amount of uni work to do but I have to keep sane

These books were basically my childhood (it helped that there were so many).  I think part of the reason I like them so much was because they weren't "so cutesy."

those books were once my god. -- they always made me hungry though. i believe i even cajoled my parents into ordering me the cardboard model of the abbey....maybe i shouldnt be sharing this information. oh well. awesome colouring job! the fur and textures are awesome!

Lol, you like redwall too! I was a redwall fanatic as a kid! I used to make lists of all the characters, heheh... I haven't read them in years though. What's really weird is that I still get stuff from the redwall reader's club in england... I thought my subscription would have run out years ago, heheh. Anyways, groovy pic! I always liked Cluny

hey...nice work - i always imagined Cluny to have some huge scar where his eye is missing but the way you've interpreted it is really good.

Aargh I know, but for some insane reason I stuck to the book and had the blinded eye on the side it says in the book...as if anyone cares, whatever makes a better picture eh?

Thanks a million millions, very constructive D

Heehee, thanks a lot. If only I could kick ass *dreams* I've been through 'a lot' with armour shading, weird how many colours there are in the shininess of silver and gold.

Ah wow, fantastic work! I love that guy(?) on the left - certainly looks a vicious bugger (even if he has just lost a bit of his tail!) I love the almost sketchy painting style.

Guy/rodent, I dunno. He's a bloody vicious bugger (slipping into orc there? ) in the book. Dont think this conveys half of what he really is like. Hate those pantalons now, they make him look spanish.

ole!

Dankers

Hah, whad'ya mean? I *never* talk like an Orc. So are those books good then? Make you wanna go out and buy a Sylvanian Family set? ;D

'Wojer mean!' Books are alright, not exactly glued to them (havent felt like that about a book for a while) but they're interesting. Bearing in mind the first book is usually the worst one.

See I knew someone (yeah 'someone') would bring that up . Dont s'pose you can get them anymore anyway...creepy little things.

Of course! I know what you mean; I haven't properly read a decent book in ages. Yeah, those kinda books tend to get better as you grow accustomed to the characters and their personalities, and all the rest.

I have some in my house somewhere, wouldn't have a clue where though! (My He-man toys probably waged a war on them ages ago and won, destroying all evidence )

glad i leant u a book u actually enjoy for once!
weird, i seem to actually have images of what they look like [i dunt tend to with books] from readin them, i see them a little different, but everyone does! i've tried to draw them before, and redwalls itself, but... alas i lack the drawing ability!

i've been listening to rock me amodeus

I like these books, they kinda take themselves a little too seriously. This isnt really how I see them myself, imagine Cluny to be a lot more imposing and bent over like some kinda mutant rat, have to draw more rats until I'm confident enough with them to warp the faces.

listening to what?

mariane In reply to Mablox [2004-04-06 19:53:44 +0000 UTC]

too seriously? i never really thought about it like that - but when i strated reading them i was pretty much as uncultured as u get with just having roald dahl and dick king smith to read. not that im complaining about them - just i could have been reading slightly more advanced books by 13!

yeah, skinny but with muscles and tall and bent over yeah, that how i saw him, and an elongated face with a snarl!

amodeus is a random song by austrian rock singer falco [made in 1985] about mozart! i love it

Bloody hell your'e right. I forgot about that, just put it on and left it to do it, usually if it takes too much time I realise its too big. I've taken the size down now quite a bit, but the zoomed in version still takes a while, might not on broadband.
