Description Alright, sorry it's been so long. Trying to explain/knowing what needed explanation and what was obvious just didn't seem to be working. I'm still developing the class a little each time I teach it. Please credit and link back to me if you use it.

Again, suggestions for clarification would be good

Have fun and let me know what you make!

That's kind'a neat. ^_^
So... hitting wire with a hammer makes it harder? That's interesting...

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

magpiesmiscellany In reply to AsjJohnson [2013-07-06 02:08:32 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, it makes it more brittle, so you don't want to overdo it. It has something to do with realigning the atoms.

Kayanya In reply to AsjJohnson [2013-06-30 18:09:27 +0000 UTC]

it doesn't really make it harder, but it keeps it from bending in a direction you don't want it to hitting it with a hammer flattens the wire

I keep hoping the students will find it so, but it's still been a little sticky to teach! I'm glad so many people on here find it helpful.

aww well idk i tried it and it worked i wanna do some more for my mom (previous was a trial run) she wants one of each season XD

magpiesmiscellany In reply to immortalrae [2013-07-26 02:28:34 +0000 UTC]

Sounds like my mom. She has a peridot one for her birthstone (spring/summer), an opal one for my birthstone (winterish), and a jacaranda tree (also spring). I don't think she's realized she doesn't have an autumn one yet...

It's a warmer climate tree that has really pretty purple blue flowers. I'd heard of them but didn't get to see them until I was in California last year. It was late in the season but you could still see how pretty they'd been.
