Description
My first impression on the giant 15 m long Triassic ichthyosaur Shonisaurus popularis. At the top there is a killer whale, and to the bottom is a rorqual whale, probably a relative of the humpback whale. Probably no one has ever done a picture like this before, with two extant whale species being used alongside a Triassic ichthyosaur just to show how large it was.Hyrotrioskjan Lucas-Attwell NRD23456 TheWilderCat Tom-Cii NosoyRidley LHPOWER18 SuperDuperBob2 Asier-Larramendi Rahonavis70m TrefRex

Nicely done. Who knew icthyosaurs were more whale like than we thought. Wonder how big is shonisaurus or a bigger icthyosaur compared to the blue whale?

Shonisaurus is 15 m or 50 ft long. Shastasaurus
From the same time as Shonisaurus was way bigger at 25 m or 83 ft long, but it was not as big as the blue whale which is 30 m or 100 ft long
