Description
On Earth-HU-13, the Age of Heroes began with the mightiest hero of them all, Captain Awesome! For decades, the champion of champions defended the Earth from all manner of evil, and eventually became the head of a team who named themselves The Absolutes. Then, on the day of his 90th birthday, Captain Awesome... retired, leaving the team under the leadership of his son, Jeremy. Shocked at the decision, most of the old guard left, leaving Jeremy to rebuild the team as his own, calling on relatively unknown heroes to restore the Absolutes to greatness.Proctor: While initially written off as a disgrace to his father's legacy for having no apparent powers, Jeremy surprised everyone with his superhuman intellect. Possessing an IQ of 220, Jeremy earned multiple degrees in dozens of fields and earned both the titles of Professor and Doctor. When he brought the new Absolutes together, Jeremy unveiled his greatest invention to date; a suit of powered exoskeletal armor that makes him the physical equal of even his father.
Hotwire: Katherine Malocchio is the daughter of known supervillain Dr. Malocchio. Originally sent to infiltrate the Absolutes, Katie grew to truly like being around her teammates and later betrayed her father to them. Born with the power of electrokinesis, Katie can shoot bolts of lightning and manipulate anything that runs off electric energy, essentially "hot-wiring" them.
Impresario: Austin Sullivan grew up in Atlanta, GA, under the loving watch of his widowed mother. Growing up, Austin had his own way of seeing the world and his own way of doing things. Unfortunately, this did NOT make him popular among the children of his neighborhood, and the boy was frequently bullied. One day, while hiking out in the woods, Austin discovered a strange glowing gemstone on the shore of the local lake. Discovering the stone allowed him to create energy constructs of anything he could imagine, Austin designed a costume and became the Impresario to fight the growing criminal presence in Atlanta.
Strongman: Harry Strong is a third generation superhero, the son of the original Strongman and the grandson of Absolutes founding member, Turnbuckle. Like his father and grandfather, Harry is super-strong and invulnerable, capable of lifting 2,000 tons with effort. Harry and Jeremy have been best friends since they were kids, and even formed their own crime-fighting duo in their teens, calling themselves Brains & Brawn. When Jeremy began rebuilding the Absolutes, Harry agreed to join automatically, happy to take his place in his family legacy.
Frantic: Zip Danger was born into an old circus family, so his relatives were not disturbed when his super-speed manifested. He is currently known to be the third-fastest speedster in the world, capable of running at well over 5,000 mph when he exerts himself. Zip is openly homosexual, but will be the first one to point out he is NOT a stereotype. While he has no formal combat training, his speed allows him to deliver 10,000 blows in the span of a second.
Gadget Gal: Arlene is the only active original member of the Absolutes. Long retired, Arlene was living in a retirement home when a villain attacked and she intervened. Struck by a rejuvenation ray, she was restored to her 25-year-old form and decided to come back into the superhero game. Possessing enhanced reflexes and physical prowess, anything she holds becomes a deadly weapon. She is also known for her frequent 1940s anachronisms and her unintended racial or sexual slurs.
Perfect Man: An arrogant but lovable hero, Percival's possession of Awesome Man's almost every power is explained by the fact he is the great hero's illegitimate son, making him Proctor's half-brother. Originally fame-hogging and self-promoting, Percy matured a great deal after Proctor came into his own, and eventually returned to the team. He has recently entered his first stable relationship and his considering changing his name.
Ishiyama: By all appearances a normal Japanese-American kid, Tim possesses the power to transform into a tall, muscular sumo-wrestler like being with amazing strength and durability. The youngest member of the team, Tim is proud to be working alongside some of the world's greatest heroes.
