Earth-N was a pretty normal world... until a strange light appeared in the skies across the world. Ever since, the impossible has become commonplace and seemingly normal towns have become magnets for all things weird. In light of these events, a group of brave people, forever altered by the events, formed the Z-Force to protect the world from any and all threats.

Wicca: Samantha Manson, Phantasm's fiancée, was a girl from a wealthy family. Frustrated and angry at her parents' constant demands, she rebelled by turning to gothic music, fashion and lifestyle and eventually began to practice witchcraft. One night, as she was practicing a ritual in praise to Demeter, Greek goddess of plants, Dan CRASHED into her family's garden, locked in combat with a demonic earth elemental. During the struggle, a wave of energy struck Sam and sent her tumbling. Dan managed to save Sam and took her back to his sanctum to study what had happened to her. Sam discovered the demon's energy had turned her into a perfect fusion of the animal and vegetable kingdoms, allowing her to convert sunlight into energy for her body and communicate with and control plants on a telepathic level.

Phantasm: Dan Fenton came from a long line of paranormal researchers and investigators. His parents attempted to mix science and sorcery to open a stable portal into the spirit world so they could finally prove what happens to what is referred to as the "soul" after the physical body expires. When the machine failed to start, Dan, only 14 at the time, volunteered to enter the portal device and investigate. Unfortunately, as he looked around, his hand brushed against a switch mistakenly placed on the machine's interior and activated it! It an explosion of energy, Dan was thrown through the portal as it activated, his every cell bombarded by extradimensional and ectoplasmic energy! All Dan remembers of it is pain comparable to having his flesh ripped from his bones. When he regained consciousness, Dan was shocked by the transformation that had set in. His hair had turned snow white and his eyes now glowed neon green. In the months after the accident, Dan and his parents discovered he had gained all the powers of a ghost, including but not limited to flight, invisibility and intangibility. Realizing his parents' portal was now allowing malevolent spiritual entities into the mortal world, Dan armed himself with his family's arsenal of ghost-hunting equipment and arcane lore and set out to protect both the human and spirit worlds from these dangerous phantoms.

Brother Electric:

Thunderman: Hero of heroes, Thunderman is a legend in his own time. Norman was an ordinary young man mowing his backyard when the Event happened, and was struck multiple times in rapid succession by strangely colored lightning. Awakening in the hospital, Norman AND the doctors were shocked when his bandaged were cut away and his skin was completely unharmed and his hair had grown back in the three days he had lain unconscious in bed. In the months that followed, Norman discovered he had been forever altered by his accident. He could now fly at supersonic speed, lift TONS in weight, was completely impervious to harm and could shoot lightning from his hands. Designing a costume and taking his new identity from the accident, Norman began his career as the mighty Thunderman! In the years since his debut, Norman has married his fellow superhero Electress and together they now have five children.

G-Gal:

Masked Magician: Tim was only a boy when he saved a family of fairies living in his backyard from a neighborhood dog. Befriending them, Tim spent his childhood adventuring in the fairy world with his new friends. When the time came for him to go away to college, the fairies presented him with a magic stone that could grant him a single wish. Thanking them, Tim left and completed his education, becoming a doctor in Los Angeles, specializing in pediatrics. He enjoyed telling stories and performing magic shows for his child patients. One day, as he was preparing to perform, a group of armed gunmen invaded the hospital, intent on nothing but chaos and violence. Remembering his magic stone, he quickly clutched it and made his wish, to imbue his magic props with REAL enchantment and give him the power to fight evil. So was born the Masked Magician, magical champion of truth and justice.

Catman: A child from a wealthy family, Adam was fascinated by big cats from childhood. Majoring in zoology in college, Adam took part in several field studies and made complex notes on every wild cat you can imagine. Returning home to his family estate, he began to apply what he had learned, copying the natural skills and abilities of the feline world with technology. He built a complex arsenal of tools and equipment and created a costume. Seeking adventure, Adam set out into the night to hunt the city's criminal element as Catman!
