Description The champions of Earth-36 are lead by the mighty Optiman. From their secret headquarters far below the Earth's crust, they monitor global situations and spring into action where their help is required.

Beacon: Hank Martin is a brave young man who joined an interstellar peace-keeping corps to defend his sector of the Milky Way Galaxy with the aide of his cosmic Power Torch. The weapon's only limit is Hank's own imagination.

Cyberion: Tom Williams was a worker in a government lab who volunteered to test the new "Project: Hephaestus", described as a sort of living metal that would protect soldiers on the battlefield by forming itself into ever more powerful armor and weapons. The test went horribly wrong and the sample used GRAFTED itself to Tom's skin, transforming him into a fusion of cybernetics and living tissue.

War Woman: During WWII, the Nazi's constant thefts of occult objects caused great disturbances among the pantheons. Chosen to travel to Earth and restore order, Aphrodite appeared on Earth in the form of a tall, gorgeous, red-haired woman. After the war ended, Aphrodite was amazed at the growing number of super-powered beings appearing on Earth, and decided to stay on as an overseer for Zeus and the other kings of the gods.

Mer-Man: Dr. Noah Talbot, noted marine biologist and oceanographer, used a sample of unknown DNA he discovered on an expedition to grow a full-sized version of the creature it came from in his lab. To his amazement, it grew into a humanoid adapted for marine environments. After his lab was attacked and Dr. Talbot was mortally wounded, his wife, Moira, used his lab equipment to transfer Noah's brainwave patterns, memory and personality into the blank body. When Noah came to, he was amazed by the powers his new body possessed. He donned a costume and set out to explore and protect the oceans as Mer-Man, all the while exploring for the creatures his original DNA sample came from.

Optiman: Faster than a bolt of lightning, more powerful than a hurricane, able to bend Titanium in his bare hands, this amazing stranger from the planet Vitalos, the Man of Tomorrow, Optiman! In his civilian identity, Chris Kelly is the editor of a major newspaper based out of Empire City, and is happily married to his wife Lori. The two have recently had a daughter they named Christine.

Blackbird: Harper Row is a highly-skilled martial artist with the power to project her voice as a powerful sonic scream. She inherited this power from her father, the Golden-Age hero known as The Thunderer.

Iron Knight: Bruce Wayne attempted to cope with the deaths of his parents by escaping into books. He became fascinated by the stories of brave knights and their heroic deeds. Vowing to bring his parents' murderer and all like him to justice, Bruce set out to become a MODERN knight, using his near-limitless wealth to create a suit of powered armor and an arsenal of weapons and devices, including a robotic horse named "Victory".

Bowman: Kenny Kingsman was taken in by Bruce Wayne after his parents were murdered. Discovering Bruce's secret double-identity as the Iron Knight, Kenny asked Bruce to train him. Seeing a kindred spirit, Bruce trained Kenny in everything that he knew. Eventually, Kenny grew beyond his role as Bruce's sidekick and set out on his own, creating the identity of the Bowman. Armed with his hi-tech bow and arsenal of trick arrows and devices, Bowman acts as a modern Robin Hood, emptying the offshore accounts of his mob-boss and supervillain enemies and distributing their wealth through various charities.

Red Racer: Backpacking in Europe, Jimmy Travis discovered an abandoned Nazi-era laboratory in a cave. A falling rock startled him and caused him to knock over a cabinet full of chemicals that splashed all over him. His clothes dissolved, but he was fine. Discovering a strange costume stored nearby, Jimmy used it to cover himself and set out to look for help, only to discover the chemicals had altered his body, allowing him to run at superhuman speed! An avid comic-book fan, Jimmy altered the costume he had discovered to colors more his liking and set out to fight crime as the Red Racer.
