Superb. I love the details of the plants; the white against the dark. You can almost feel the heat of the scene. Brilliant

Also I've been doing my workΒ on a desktop drawing board for years - I notice you use one that faces you and the angle can be altered. I imagine you can see everything in better proportion but would this take some getting used to? I imagine my arm would drop off from not being able to rest on it hah

I use two boards - the large one is A0 for the bigger pieces. I also have a simple block of smooth wood for anything around A3 or under. As you say, the portability of a smaller board is easier on the joints and body.
I can alter the tilt of the large board and I surround it with strong daylight bulbs. I mostly work on big pieces standing up to give my back a rest. I simply peel the artwork from the board and move it around to work on different parts.

As always I'm scrutinising the smallest details and wondering, as a pencil artist too, which bits must have caused you the most grief. I'm guessing the grasses on the right hand side. I love the reflected light on the passenger side of the car, and the mucky marks top it off to make a real, visceral piece. I've not known anyone spend as long as this on a single piece but consider it a damn good investment. Will you be printing?

Thanks man! Much appreciated.
Yeah - all of the grasses were a challenge. Time consuming and needing lots of reiteration. The sky was also a toughie tbh, because it's soooo smooth. Very fine gradations and subtle detail and tones. This needed a LOT of blending and rework to get right.
And yes, I've just released a limited edition print run of 50 on my website. Just waiting for the first batch to arrive today/tomorrow after proofing was complete.
