Its based on aardvarks more specifically it is an aardvark relative that looks very similar to a chalicothere. They spend most of their days shoveling leaves and the occasional fruit into their mouths while propped up on their tail. They use the large claws on their forelimbs in order to bring branches down to their head were they can easily reach it. While they tend to prop themselves up with their tail there main form of locomotion is on all fours with a gait similar to giant anteaters.
