Thalassodontosauria is a clade of semi aquatic Diictodon that are most predominantly found in the massive rivers and around the coast of the northern side of the supercontinent. While originating as an offshoot of Tragulasauria that were forced into a semi aquatic lifestyle due to over competition with other members of the clade they quickly took advantage of the mostly untouched aquatic ecosystems. The members of Thalassodontosauria carved there way into the aquatic ecosystems roughly 20 million into the planets history pushing out many large fish species and aquatic beetles. These diictodons average around 1.5 meters in length and 200 kilograms, although this does vary species to species.

Members of Thalassodontosauria send most on their time on land and only go into the water to feed. While semi aquatic, many species are not very good at swimming and they tend to stay very close to the waters edge in order to escape predators. They tend to feed on small aquatic plants by swimming in place and digging their tusks into the substrate in order to dig up the vegetation that they feed on. The burrows of these diictodons are very large and very simple consisting of one large tunnel and a nesting chamber. The male will lay in the entrance of the burrow blocking it off from any potential predators while periodically leaving to collect food for himself and his mate. The females will constantly tend to the egg and will stay with the eggs from laying to hatching, once hatch the mother and father will both stay together to protect the hatchlings and to help teach the young.
