I made this polymer clay piece quite a while ago and couldn't decide what to do with it. It's made of gold clay, glass gems and various bits of jewelry...oh...and a Christmas keychain LOL!

I was playing with a mixture of powdered pigments, alcohol inks and Future acrylic floor finish today to see how it would look painted on a book cover and pretty soon I had painted six different books LOL!

I really liked the gold, bronze and green on this book and then a light bulb went off...that clay piece would be perfect! I am pretty happy with it. I really didn't like the clay piece much until I laid it on this painted book.

The front and back are painted and the powdered pigments in this crazy mixture I used really makes the color shimmer.
