Best theme of WIN8 I ever saw...
...would it be possible for you to remove the User Picture from a start menu? I think, it is not suitable for win8 theme anymore and it will be much cleaner without it... thanks alot for your theme great work...

Thanks mate.
It's not a problem to remove user picture but i think start menu looks little ugly without it. We'll see... Thanks again. Enjoy in theme.

Please don't remove, of if you do it, keep the original theme in another folder.

How did you manage to get the new Segoe fonts to work in Windows 7? I tried different ways but none of them worked for me. I installed the new Segoe, Windows asks if I realy want to overwrite the existing ones. I clicked OK but nothing changed. I copied the new Segoe over to the Fonts folder manualy, I tried it in Save Mode, I disabled System Protection and none of them worked for me. After rebooting the PC the old Segoe version is still there. It's to teas ones hair

Probably you have already installed the fonts but have not noticed, because is no big difference between them. Most noticeable is in the numbers.

No, definitely not. Iβm aware about the differences in the new versions of Segoe UI. Itβs the 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, the capital I and Q and some minor changes especialy in the rendering.
As I said before, I do not get the fonts changed to their newer versions, no matter what I have tried. The first indicator to look at is the Time/Date display. Iβm kinda
I guess it must have something to do with the file protection in Windows 7 (64-bit). Each time i copy the new Segoe fonts over the old ones, Windows overwrites them with the original ones.
Please help me getting this damned thing fixed

I have to reply to myself: I did it, I did it, I did it!!! But it was a hard way to get it done.
First I had to take ownerhip of the Fonts directory. I did it with the command promt typing "attrib βr βs c:\windows\fonts". Then I had to change permissions for each Segoe UI Font I wantd to replace. After that, I wasn't able to delete or overwrite the old versions but I was able to rename them to ...ttf.BAK. Now I was able to copy the new versions into the Fonts directory.
The only font which stays permanently at the old version is the "segoeuib.ttf" Each time I tried to rename it to BAK, a message came up saying that this font is already open in "csrss.exe". It's not possible to close this process without shutting Windows down.
So I started Windows in Safe Mode and did the renaming of the old version and copying the new version into the Fonts directory. Sadly after a reboot some text elements were empty (e.g. Outlook where unread mails will be shown with bold text).
So I had to rename them back to get the original "segoeuib.ttf" Seems to me that this font is kinda resistant. But the others do work now.

I do not know why you had so many problems with the installation of fonts, but I'm glad you finally made ββit.

It's strange, isn't it? The bold "segoeuib.ttf" refuses to work in its new version. E.g. in iTunes: When adding a playlist and name it "QI127" it now looks different if it is selected or not. It's one of those miracles I probably will never decode. Maybe someone else will...?

*.theme files (Invisible show desktop button normal and left) contains an error with address: [link]
π: 0 β©: 1
mare-m In reply to in-dolly [2012-07-09 17:37:50 +0000 UTC]
It's not error. To reduce the file size, I am not put in each folder with themes wallpapers and cursor. To install the theme with invisible show desktop button you must first copy folder "Windows 8" (Windows 8 Theme/Windows 8) to "C:\Windows\Resources". Only this folder contains wallpaper and cursor. And then copy *.theme files and corresponding folder from one of two "invisible show desktop button" folders (normal or top).
