Description
This is an illustration I did years ago on the back cover of one of my Akiko comics in tribute to the illustrator of the original Winnie the Pooh books, E. H. Shepard. I inserted my characters Akiko and Gax into the scene but otherwise tried to remain very faithful to Shepard's amazing method of drawing trees and scenery.Related content

I started to draw because of Shepard's work in the Pooh books and I still doodle trees his way. His work is so strong that even after decades of Disneyfication the first images to spring to mind when I think of Pooh are Shepard's. Great work.
