Description
A little something I whipped up because I know very few people ask about how I draw those adorable little creatures..er chibis.I'm not very good at explaining...anything, but hopefully you get the idea.
Basically you need a general idea of how the human body is put together, that's how I start my chibi's off. You can see the lines and where the structure is set up and the hips and the legs are set. The tiny example of the potato sack is what I've learned as to how weight is distributed when the figure is bending down etc. it also gives you a good idea at how the female's body should look like when twisting around.
Now I apologize if I babbled too long, if you have any questions give me a buzz.

Okay, good for one pose, what about how to make more?

Hence why I referred it to a "basic"/"cheap" lesson. It was never meant to be anything more than a simple reference. If you want to learn more, there are blogs and websites everywhere with helpful tips for beginners. You just need to branch out and find them.

Okay, what specifically do you suggest I search and look for?

Is it possible to make a version of this showing emphasis on how to get started, like all the little markers and lines underneath the final shape? I'm not sure I make sense but if I do then that's great

Hi,
I really like these proportions. Are we allowed to design our own characters with this Tutorial in mind, or is it copyrighted?

Oh useful, thanks! I may try this sometime, I'm absolutely useless at drawing anything without a photo reference, so trying chibis might be good practice...

You give all your stuff such a nice three-dimensionalness to it. It's something I really struggle with. All your stuff looks so round.

I'm a firm believer in that kind of stuff. Round, soft, organic shapes that make a figure a little more convincing you know? Hopefully this clears it up a bit.
Thanks man!
