Description
Mandelbulb 3D v1.8.9 x2: www.fractalforums.com/index.ph…DEcombinate in Min mode using: SphereIFS/AmazingSurf2/ASurfMod1 (Julia on)
A 3D fractal imagining of a tiny piece of the vast interior landscape from my earlier 'Toroidal' image.
See: markjaybee.deviantart.com/art/…
The mirrored sphere is a probe-drone on a reconnaisance mission to one of the countless, unexplored regions of this interior world....
A larger version of this piece can be viewed, and prints ordered at: markjaybeefractal.com/touring-…

The planet has potential for mining of rare isotopes of heavy elements, as Nature would have caused them to settle in distinct geological bands from the planet's centrifugal forces.

Cheers Russell (?) Well, I guess that would be the case were the 'Toroid' a natural world,
but in my imagining it's an artificial construct of a long-vanished, ultra-high tech alien race,
and as such wouldn't possess strata?!

Ah! Well then, yes, of course you are right.
I had thought it might be a natural world, perhaps the remnants of a ring system that once orbited a central gas giant that subsequently dissipated.
But artificial is very interesting! Or, as Spock would say, "Fascinating!"

Will you ever make something meh, just to prove you are human? Excellent work as usual, with a nice perspective and story to back it up.
