Well, I promised a few people I'd do somethin' like this. I don't actually recommend this way of, uh, doing things, it's just...what I do, which is not necessarily what you should do. See? It's nothing new, either...watercolours aren't as hard to control as most people think! xDRelated content

AWESOME tutorial! There's so many steps... I'm sure it was difficult to break everything down. But it shows how into detail you are. The character is adorable, and your coloring methods are so soft... I'm gonna fav. this! ^_^

I never even thought of going over it again in pencil! Probably the simplist of things, but never thought of XD
I find that crushing it at the end under a load of strategy guides can work XD Flattens it nice and quick...

Blur~ can the same end-look go for regular or Acrylic paint?
and how big are you picturs? I hear some people do them reall big then shrink them afta scannin.

My drawings are usually 25cm or less on the longest size. I'll post a photo alongside a 30cm ruler in my journal. C:

What surprised me the most is that I use watercolours almost the same way you do, with the layers (very basic, I know), shadowing and the way you lift off colours. I'm just not using them smart as you do. 
This is a great, very useful tutorial! I'm so using it for my next watercolour piece. Thanks!

great lil' tutorial peice, easy to read also.. :'D ((...i have seen some in the in the past they are all like 'step one....... step two..... AND THERE WE GO. BRIRRIANCE.' that get all lazy towards the end and leave out important steps etc ))
