Description

The warm glow from the hangar deck welcomes pilots back aboard the Terran corvette Gallager. Blinking lights of the guidance systems lead the space-jet in, members of the deck-crew watching by the open gate. The small craft is essential to patrol operations, providing a second pair of eyes, and additional mobility. Every time, the pilots return with new reports and findings they have made. As it turns out, the void of deep space on this frontier is not really a void at all. It is rife with strange anomalies, slowly encroaching into HELLESPONT space. No doubt, the analytics staff will be kept busy with the new batch of data for days on end. For the pilots, however, a hot meal in the mess hall awaits. Better than the warm light and comfort of company aboard the mothership is only the promise of a decent meal and a good night's sleep.
