Sarah was in love.

She was sure of it. Sarah might be young – she had just turned twenty-two, in fact – but this wasn’t her first relationship. She’d had girlfriends before. Three, since she came out in high school. She had loved all of them. Yet there was something special about Isadora. She was the one.

Sarah and Isadora had been dating a little over a year now. This was their second Valentine’s Day. Over the last two months, they had been spending more and more time together. These days, Sarah slept in Isadora’s bed more often than she slept in her own. She had a feeling that Isadora was going to suggest that they move in together before long.

Maybe even tonight!

The thought left Sarah weak in the knees; she was exhilarated and terrified at the same time. It wasn’t that she was afraid of commitment. Hell no! She wanted to spend the rest of her life with Isadora. No, more than anything else, she feared that she just wasn’t good enough for Isadora.

Sarah came from a solidly blue-collar background, while Isadora was classy and sophisticated. Sarah could barely make ends meet on her salary as a gym teacher, while Isadora was independently wealthy. Hell, her apartment was a penthouse!
