What if Peter Quill and Gamora grow up together

Gamora’s birth parents are aware of that they and the rest of their home world will become a target for Thanos’ conquest of wiping out half of all life. So, to ensure the survival of their kind, Gamora’s parents put Gamora in an escape pod set to depart for Earth and Gamora ends up in Missouri where she is found and adopted by Meredith Quill and her father Jason Quill who raise her alongside Meredith Quill’s son Peter Quill. Peter Quill and Gamora grow up together from that moment on.
As it turns out, Gamora has proven to be Peter Quill’s only friend and she even becomes Peter Quill’s bodyguard due to Peter Quill’s habit of getting into fights with certain kids who intend to bully him or kill certain innocent small animals which can provoke Peter Quill.
But just like originally, Meredith Quill ends up in the hospital because of an inoperable brain tumor that was (unbeknown to Peter Quill and Gamora) placed in her head by Peter Quill’s birth father Ego who soon saw and realized that his life with Meredith Quill was becoming a major distraction for his goal called “The Expansion”. Gamora is there with Peter Quill when they wait for Meredith Quill to send for them as they wait outside her hospital room.
Then moments before her passing after she hands Peter Quill a gift to open after she’s gone, and with Gamora’s encouragement, Peter Quill unlike originally takes his mother’s hand. And then when Meredith Quill passes away and Peter Quill is in mourning, Gamora is there to comfort him.
