What if the other half survives the Snap in Avengers: Infinity War/Avengers: Endgame
(Peter Quill lives in an underground bunker, becomes a very fat drunk lazy Viking, and does Karaoke)

During the two year period where time experts amongst the surviving Avengers are looking for other time experts to put together the necessary equipment and steps for the Time Heist, the other surviving Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy go on to different things. As for the surviving Guardians of the Galaxy, because of they are aware of the existence of Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, they decide to retire and hunker down somewhere where they can be by themselves. They decide to go into hiding and live in an underground bunker in a remote location somewhere in Upstate New York with the location of the underground bunker known only to a select few including Doctor Strange and Shuri.
The underground bunker that Peter Quill, Drax, Mantis, and Groot live in gives them luxury. It has a Karaoke room, a Wine Cellar, four bedrooms each with their own bathrooms, a Game Room, a kitchen, a living room, a food storage room where the food doesn’t go bad, a fitness room that the surviving Guardians of the Galaxy hardly use, a secured hatch to the underground bunker, a hidden periscope, and an endless healthy water supply.
Peter Quill spends his time getting drunk and fat and he grows his hair and beard out to the point where he becomes a Viking. Drax plays Video Games, Mantis takes care of the food storage, and Groot uses the hidden periscope. They all do those things to get their minds off of the painful death of their beloved Gamora as it has become too much for them to bear.
