I've been hinting at this character for a while, if anyone noticed, there's a reason why I choose today to reveal him I've had this guy for years and he has gone through multiple redesigns, but I'm finally happy with this one.

Personality: Mindbender is highly manipulative, clever, and calm. He goes out of his way to find his victims strengths and weaknesses in order to target their “simple human psyche”. He thinks quickly and can outsmart his victims quite easily, without even using his mental abilities. He is also very greedy and competitive, wanting money and so much that he willing to do anything for it, including wiping out the competition.

Date Of Death: September 8th (same day as Rebirth)

Occupation: Drug Lord/Businessman

Height: 10ft tall but can reach up to 15ft tall

Official Backstory: Mindbender knows nothing about his past life as a human, save for a few short, unimportant memories and old books he has that date back to the Opium Wars. His cause of death is also unknown, but he was created by another slender being, known as the Spenderman, who taught him how to use his newfound abilities and to feed off the addictions of humans. When he was a younger slender, he was introduced to a spider woman in which his creator was in love with and gained her friendship during her pregnancy with a slender halfling. After the halfling “Charlotte” was born, his creator left and left his lover and child alone The spider woman soon became terribly ill and asked Mindbender to take care of her daughter. He hesitantly agreed and raised Charlotte into maturity as his companion/assistant. The became The Arachnid Mistress, but she still lives with him.

Nowadays, Mindbender owns his “business”, i.e. distributing drugs in the intercity through his proxies. In exchange for payment and a roof over his head, he employed Donovan Monroe, the brother of Mistress’s proxy, to sell the first and most powerful drug he ever created, “Lucid Warp.”

Special Abilities:
Mindbender can see into people’s minds and distort different parts of it. This includes seeing memories, reading thoughts, changing emotions, and learning personal details about the person.
He can produce vivid and powerful illusions that can only affect humans that he targets.
He can manipulate existing addictions that humans have, this usually involves the more harmful substances such as food, drugs, alcohol, along with gambling.

Strengths:
His tendrils are very strong and flexible
He is very smart when it comes to psychology and the human mind
Due to his manipulative personality, he can get almost anyone to trust him easily

Weaknesses:
There are ways to see through his illusions if they look hard enough
Loud noises will temporarily paralyze him
His rage mode takes most of his energy and will leave him exhausted after it is done

Likes: Money, conflict, coffee, chocolate, dogs, strong willpower, alcohol

Dislikes: The Ocean, cats, fireworks, thunder, balloons popping, weak-willed people

Proxies: Mindbender typically chooses people who he can’t control easily and have a strong willpower to be his proxies, the opposite of how Slenderman chooses his proxies. (According to a headcanon of mine ) Of course, they do have to be obedient to him, but with with a stronger will, they have a larger worth and are seen as more respectable than other humans in Mindbender’s eyes(?) They are called “Dealers” rather than proxies and they do get paid, unlike proxies of other Slenders.

Lucid Warp: Named by one of his head proxies as a “street name”, Lucid Warp is a highly potent drug that Mindbender creates himself. To his proxies, it will give them enhanced speed and mental strength. To normal humans, once consumed it will give them wild hallucinations and they will become addicted. With each time it is taken, the hallucinations will get increasingly worse, driving the person mad and slowly killing them in the process.

Slender Sickness: Mindbender’s sickness symptoms include headaches, nosebleeds, and shaking hands. Extreme cases include paranoia, delusions, and long-term psychiatric effects.
