Marie: So, to put this all into something...resembling a summary; you accidentally killed your Callie and went insane, so you ended up getting in cahoots with a Pearl who lost her Marina and went insane, AND a Marina who lost her Pearl and went insane, and they joined you up with a Callie who killed her Marie and went insane and now you go around doing Pearl's anti-Inkling dirty work...because you're all insane.
W.Marie: That's the short answer, yeah. What do you think?
Marie: I think I hit my head on the shower curtain bar REALLY hard this morning and I'm hallucinating all this.
W.Marie: Well it's reality to me, Sister. Be thankful you didn't go through what I did.
Callie: Hey guys! [walking into the room] How's it going?
Marie: Well, I've got enough for a report. I get the impression they're gonna find one or two issues with it...mainly the thing about you and me being dead, but it's what I got to work with.
Callie: Awesome! So...[sullen face] How is she?
W.Marie: What, MY Callie? The one you set off?
Marie: Evil Me, that's enough. [sigh] She's fine. Gramps helped calm her down and she's kind of just sulking in the guest room now. Doesn't want anyone talking to her for the time being.
W.Marie: And that includes you! You set her off once, I ain't letting you do it again!
Callie: It was an accident!
Marie: No, she's right...she needs time to herself, I think. It's pretty late, you might wanna get some sleep in your room while I sort this out.
Callie: [sigh] Alright...[walks dejectedly to the bedroom door and enters it. Five seconds pass as War Marie talks]
W.Marie: Right, well that's all the backstory I can give for us two, what about Pearl or-
Marie: Aaaaand cue.
[Callie bursts out of the bedroom and bolts for the guest room, stripped to her pajamas. War Marie gets up to chase her, but Marie keeps her seated]
W.Marie: What the-HEY! Get back here, you-
Marie: Relax. You know Callie's a handful. But she's got a heart of gold. Well, mine does. Your Cal's made of glass...and your's is made of tin. [War Marie begins to object] No, no. Let's just get this done. Cal's perhaps the best she can get right now...
[meanwhile, in the guest room, War Callie is splayed out on the guest bed. She is above the covers, staring dejectedly at the ceiling. Her face is twisted into a pained expression, but she is otherwise calm. She hears a knock at the door]
W.Callie: Go away...
[The person on the other side doesn't listen and slowly creaks the door open and steps inside. It's the normal Callie, a nervous smile on her face]
Callie: Hey...uh, me. I need a nickname for you, do you have a nickname?
W.Callie: ...Does War Callie count?
Callie: Nnnnnnnno. That's a little too...hmm. Ooh, I know! Can I call you Calbot? 'Cause, you know...the arm.
W.Callie: ...What are you even doing here?
Callie: I'm sayin' hi, is all! I wanna see if you're doing okay! And...[she sighs] I wanna say sorry. F-For settin' you off, like that. I didn't know. This is all so...weird. I'm trying to hunt down the Octos and SUDDENLY I'm in a void that smells like farts and my cousin is there and my cousin but edgy is there and I'm there but I'm also a robot...I just...want to make sure you're fine now. You fiiiiiine?
W.Callie: ...I'm never fine. My whole world came crashing down around me and...it still hurts...it never stops.
Callie: Well I'm here to MAKE you feel fine! And...also...[steps into the room and closes the door behind her] I wanna see your robot arm again. It looks so cool!
W.Callie: ...This thing? [waves her fake arm around] I...had this for a while now. The evi-...not-good Marina built it for me. After I lost mine...y-you can see it. If you want...
Callie: AWESOME! [War Callie recoils in shock and Callie mentally kicks herself] Uh...c-cool. Lemme see... [she hops onto the bed and waits for War Cal to sit up and shuffle towards the end of the bed. She stretches her robot arm out and Callie starts feeling it with both hands] Oooh, it's so cold to the touch! It's so cool, look at it! Oh, there's buttons on the side under this panel! Ooh, what do they do?
W.Callie: D-Don't touch them! They're...I have like a million different things in this arm. Pl-Plasma caster, buzzsaw, ink nozzle...bottle opener...
Callie: Bottle opener?
W.Callie: In case Marina gets thirsty while out on the field...
Callie: Coooooool!
W.Callie: N-Not cool! I shouldn't even have this arm...
Callie: Why? What happened to your old one?
W.Callie: [stares off into the distance, terrified and cowering] I had...it was the arm that...br-broke her windpi...mmmm...
Callie: You cut it off yourself?
W.Callie: [nods] Mmmm...m-murder arm...
Callie: Oh, you poor thing! [pulls her into a soft hug] And I thought I had it rough...
[War Callie doesn't even bother crying and just snuggles into the hug and clings tight for all its worth. A few hours pass as the two cuddle. Before long, there is a knock at the door and both Maries enter]
Marie: Callie? I'm finished with all the stuff, you gotta get to bed now...
W.Marie: And you better not have set her off again or I SWEAR-
[Marie shushes her counterpart up as they both fully enter the room. Both Callies are sound asleep, cuddled into each other's arms. They are smiling and sleep peacefully. Marie gasps in joy and places a hand to her chest]
Marie: Oh, Callie...[sniff] My little old heart...she's too pure for this world.
W.Marie: Yeah...kinda want to agree with you on that one...
Marie: Better, uh...leave them alone, yeah? We should probably get some sleep ourselves.
W.Marie: Yeah, yeah...it'd be nice to get an actual bed to sleep on, for once...
[The two slowly leave the room and head down the corridor]
W.Marie: ...Going back to that analogy, what material is YOUR heart made out of?
Marie: Adamantium.
W.Marie: Of course it is...

Many hours after the meeting in the Void, the Squidsters are back home and milling the rest of the day away...only now they have their insane counterparts in tow. As the two Maries sort out what exactly is going on, and what can be done to revert it, Callie has some unfinished business with her counterpart, and it includes apologising and gawking at robotics in equal measure.

Aww, I love this so much! Your portrayal of classic Marie is wonderful; down to earth and snarky, yet not too much. I especially love how Callie got to redeem herself from her over-excitement from before and show some maturity while also being her cheery self. And it's nice to see the tortured War-Callie happy and at peace, even if it's a temporary one. The pain probably won't be going away any time soon, but that makes these moments all the more precious.
