Description
The Lake District, Christmas 2006.The River Derwent in Borrowdale valley.
Taken with a Nikon D80, 18-70mm lens.
Two exposures.
Edited for toning, curves, etc.

Try adding neutrals in PS selective colours.. or a B/w layer blended in overlay mode and only at aout 20% opcaity I guessing.... but this reminds me that Tassie had all those bush fires!

Thanks for the advice, though I'm not quite sure what it does. Is the B/W layer to darken the shadows without brightening the highlights?

Set to overlay it does amazing thing to colours too....it uses the channel mixer.. I'll note you

DSLR? I wish I had one of those. I have a Canon PowerShot A700 and a Quantaray tripod made by a company called Sunpak.

Dunno, you may experiment! I just said that 'cause I found the dark spots not dark enough, but the photo looks really good either!
