βGrimlock & the Technobots: Fathers' DayβPrints available: 10"x8" and 14"x11"
In the original TF cartoon , Grimlock and the other Dinobots were built by Ratchet and Wheeljack , who later died in the animated movie . Some time afterward, Grimlock got super-smart for like an hour and built the Technobots . The cartoon never really played up the notion of family relations within this chain, so I figured I'd see what that would look like. I'm not sure if Grimlock is telling them about their grandparents or if the Technobots made the album as a gift, but either way, yay dads.

Yes! I knew it couldn't just be a scaled-up human-style album, and I realized that using screens for the photos would make them pop nicely in the shadows as Grim turns the page. (I also like to think they're animated, Harry-Potter-like.)

Your colours are wonderful as always Astro-L! This is something I could imagine happening on a day off for the Autobots. It's great you doing this because its rare to see the Technobots with their father/creator in robot mode with his sons/creations, he is probably saying something like "Me Grimlock love Kup's war stories but me like me King Grimlock's better, I show you!" I dig the expression and poses for all the Technobot members, Strafe and Afterburner: "Yeah Grimlock was made out of King Kick Butt metal!" Lightspeed "This is almost better than travelling to space!" Nosecone "Hmmmm uncle Sludge reminds me of me, just keep it slow minded" Scattershot "Hey you 2 over the back there, respect your father and keep your Afterburners shut or I'll Strafe you both out of here!"
Overall fantastic drawings and colours, love you doing more of this kind of work, especially some more Technobots love!
