Description
So in June I attended the Illustration Master Class for a week, and while there I got to study under master illustrators Greg Manchess, Donato Giancola, Dave and Tony Palumbo, and many others. I also received feedback from industry giants Irene Gallo, Lauren Panepinto, and Cynthia Sheppard! I highly recommend attending if you're an aspiring artist interested in genre work or imaginative realism.I began this painting from scratch at the workshop and finished it up at my home studio a week ago. Finally got around to photographing it.
Don't worry, work on the giant heroines of my Vigilant Lioness project has already resumed, and new work will be arriving soon!

The simple premise I had in mind was that a powerful sorceress descended upon the land, and not even the most renowned knight in the kingdom could stop her. I painted the moment before she executes him on the highest peak in front of his friends, allies, and followers.

And that's his own sword, right?
Such an impressive picture! It's sad to see good people lost and their knight being beheaded by this villainess... and yet I admire her! She looks really dark and powerful. It would be interesting to see/know more of her.

nice. I went to a Pixar master class quite a few times last year. Didnt show my work cuz it sux and....is questionable >.>. Glad yours improved you

Thank you! I highly recommend it if you ever find yourself over here! There's also an online version with the same instructors called SmArt School. If I'm not mistaken, they still have some spots available for this fall!
