This is the 2nd page of a 6 page comic I painted for my first book, Vigilant Lioness Volume 1. The full comic is only available in the book, which is available for just 8 more days on Kickstarter ! The book collects everything I've done for Vigilant Lioness over the last 5 years- all the paintings, drawings, sketches, color studies, reference images, and more. I'm really proud of the way the book turned out, and I'm excited for you guys to be able to hold it in your hands. We're 80% of the way to our goal, and with your help we'll make it to 100%!

This page was a tricky one to paint compared to the others. I'm not sure how, but the file size ended up getting to around 1.25 gigabytes! It was a real bear getting Photoshop to run smoothly so I could work on it. I'm really pleased with the end result though, and I'm still blown away at finally creating my own comic. It's something I've always wanted to do, and it's awesome to be achieving it while also publishing my first book, which is another long time goal of mine.

I'm definitely hungry for more comics, so I think once the Kickstarter wraps I'll be looking for a way to incorporate more of this kind of work alongside the oil paintings. My current line of thinking is to have periodic votes over on Patreon for the direction of new short comics. I'll keep you all posted!
