Also thought District 9 was great! Though was expecting it to be so violent. Itβs gorier than many horror movies I could nameβ¦ maybe unnecessarily so but, was still awesome!

Haha, clever! Crossovers are always fun. I agree that District 9 was a lot more graphic than the trailers implied. It's still a great story, but it could've been toned down a bit.

I heard good things about this movie, and when I saw the previews for it, I was interested.
Then I saw the preview where that one alien snatched a missle out of the air A SPLIT SECOND after it was launched. I want to see it badly now.

Admitedly I haven't seen it, but my cousin went to see it. Says the documentary style put him to sleep. I read the synopsis and it looks interesting. I might rent it when it comes out on DVD

I thought District 9 was awesome as well, and a good metaphorical reenactment of the 1968 forced eviction of District 6 in Cape Town South Africa, with a very open ending. Apartheid totally sucks ass and governments should know better than to leave the job to a bunch of greedy spineless mercenaries.

I thought the gore and violence was a nice, passing nod to old films like Robocop and the 80's The Fly movie.

I don't think it's really right to parody a movie that's a metaphor for Apartheid, which is one of the worst programs or policies implemented by humanity during the 20th century. But maybe it's just me.
