He seemed fine as Deadpool in the Wolverine movie but before that I'd never heard of the guy. Hopfully it'll be a good choice. Unfortunately it means he most likely won't be in the planned Deadpool movie, so that'll either be recast or more likely just fall apart... Oh well, I am a bigger GL fan than Deadpool anyways!
As for my expectations on the GL movie, here's hoping they don't screw it up. My thought is, a truly great GL movie would have to be space-based, with the whole GL corps, Guardians, Sinestro etc, which would be very expensive. I dont' think they're willing to spend that much money on an untested property so the best we can hope for is an okay Earth-based movie. BUT if we're lucky it'll make enough money that they do a bigger-budget space sequel. I think GL2 is our best hope for a really stellar Green Lantern movie.

I doubt it. If Green Lantern is successful, I'm sure he will stick with that only. If it is a failure, he may try to get back on Deadpool, but they may not want him at that point.

Nah, it really doesn't matter what he wants. If GL does well there will be more movies fast, and Warner won't want him doing a Marvel movie. Otherwise, if GL flops he won't get any more action roles, so Marvel won't want him.

I have good faith that if made to choose, Ryan Reynolds would drop the GL movie. He's a major fan of Deadpool and was one of the driving forces behind getting the Deadpool movie green lighted.

DC movies haven't been doing too well Batman was good but Superman completely sucked. I don't expect anything spectacular from a Green Lantern movie. Honestly I'd rather see a Green Arrow or Justice League movie.

On a sidenote, DP with a GL ring, that is probably the second most scarry thing i can think of. The worst being DP in Marvel Girlยดs old outfit.

Well I liked him in Blade 3, but I really wanted Nathan Fillion who was on the sit-com Two guys a girl and a pizza place with Ryan Reynolds. So the way I see it is they cast from the right show, just not who I wanted.
I also looked on imdb.com and the info on the guy is that he'll make both Deadpool and Green Lantern which are both supposed to come out the same year. But before the announcement all the talk about Ryan Reynolds doing a DC based movie was that they wanted him to play the Flash. So that's out of the question, but at least we're finally getting a GL movie and this time they don't want Jack Black to play him.
