About the debate over the ending of the movie, I’ve heard one really good argument for each side of the argument. But they both require either A) examining the movie credits or B) having read the original screenplay. So to me in the end it is up in the air.
And yes, Freddy’s totem is a Deadpool action figure

The main idea in Inception is entering people's dreams, right? You're supposed to keep a totem item in the real world so that you know when you're in another person's dream. If you're in someone's dream, they won't know how to construct your totem properly. It's supposed to let you know you're in someone else's dream.
I'm not gonna explain beyond that because I don't want to spoil it! You should see the movie yourself, it's really good.

Have you ever seen Deadpool without the mask? Let's just say Freddy and Deadpool have a lot in common as far as looks go. That's my guess, anyway.

I've seen Deadpool without his mask. As a totem it doesn't really make sense because it's just an action figure he probably bought at walmart. (now get the image of Freddy at walmart with a shopping cart full of toys out of your head. go ahead and try)

Why not? Go into a forest, break out the bear-claw, and bam! Instant totem! It'd be unique because you'd have cut it yourself.

The where some moments of it that I felt like I was watch'n the Anime film "Paprika". Only this movie was less of an acid-trip.
