Description
For more Lil Formers head to www.LilFormers.comYes it’s true, Spider-man 4 is cancelled since Sony wouldn’t stop messing with it causing Sam Raimi(director) and Tobey Maguire(Spidey) to quit. Now they are planning to reboot the whole franchise… lame. The first two movies were pretty perfect, so they can’t really ‘bring Spidey back to his roots’ with a reboot like Batman Begins. There’s nothing to fix…they can only destroy. Oh well.
Also, YES, some fools are still trying to make a Spidey musical. It is quite probably the end of days. Somewhere Mephisto is wearing a pair of mouse ears and cackling.

Tell me about it! After two of the best superhero movies ever made Raimi produces one sub-par film, and now everyone's on the guy's case. Meanwhile directors with a third his talent are paid millions to churn out brainless blockbuster after blockbuster! Huff! They don't deserve Sam Raimi.

When they lose their asses, Sony might wise up and start kissing Sam and Tobey's asses with apologies and lots of money.
Movie studios suck. They need to let fans and creators have a bigger say in how comic based movies are made. Movie moguls and execs who don't even read comics shouldn't be allowed within three states of a comic movie production.

I was waiting for them to get to Spiderman 6, and do a Sinister Six movie (that woulda' been nice)... if they felt Tobey was gettin' old (not really, no one cares), they coulda' just swapped out the actor and kept going... we don't need the highschool teen rehash just because Twilight has fans

Sam Raimi might have another movie of his turned into a musical... Wow. First it was "Evil Dead" and now someone is trying to make "Spider-Man" the musical... Will there be a "Web Splash Zone" like with the Evil Dead musicals "Blood Splash Zone"? xD

The Spidey series really does not need to be rebooted. The first film only came out in 2002! they'd be better off waiting another year or two, so they can come up with a good script for part 4, and a new cast if need be, and then shoot it as a sequel to the 3 existing movies, rather than attempting a no-doubt-awful 'reboot'...
And I would NEVER watch a Spidey musical...

So far what I read is they want to make the Spidey franchise more into a teenage drama Its disneys first step to making Spider Man terrible like it will do with everything else Marvel related.
I just hope and pray to god that they casy JK Simmons as Jameson hes perfect and is one character that SHOULD NEVER be recast.
Sadly I got a feeling my love for Spidey is gonna go down the crapper.

OK, they're rebooting the Spiderman Movie franchise(too early to tell whether it will be good or bad), and now they're doing a musical...
Somewhere, Linkara, JustSomeRandomGuy and DCompose are screaming their heads off.

wow most of the movies were horrible, I mean they had some good bad guys but I really didn't like the actors. They are going to focus on Spider-man just in high school. Marvel reboots the comic whenever Peter gets to old, so let's just say that he got too old and made a deal with the 'devil' and forgot everything good as gold. lol

Poor Spidey. It's just reboots left and right with him.
Now Marvel is (probably and according to promo materials released) going to retcon the deal that retconned the marriage out of existence in the first place!
Man, I just realized how crazy superhero comics are. Thanks Matt!

i like the reboot idea. sam raimi is a tool and toby miguire is all wrong. he might have been good for the role 10 tears ago but now he is old and doughy. the new movie will make him a teenager, ya know, like he was in the comics? the direction and overall makeup of the third one made me (a die hard spidy fan) move onto less pouty heroes. when a horse breaks its leg you shoot it, when a director makes the best franchise into the worst you let him go circle of life my man

Spider-man hasn't been a teenager in the comic for quite some time. Since before I was born really heh. So I am much less a fan of the teen spidey and am glad they got that part over with quickly.
The 3rd movie was pretty bad yeah, but was not Raimi's fault. He was forced to do the crappy Venom story.

In my opinion, the whole movie should've been Spidey in the black suit. And the church scene, when the suit falls on Eddie, that should've been the closing one. Come to think of it, it would've fit great after the credits.

before you were born? how old are you? spiderman's teenage status is important to his early hero work. he should have spent at least the second movie as such. and ultimate spiderman is still a teen. that point aside, sam raimi cashed in his chips a long time ago, the third moiecant be pointed directly at him, but he's the one who said it was okay. sam for oking it and toby for acting it take the full fury of this shitty shitty sequil to such a good series.

I'm only 29. So the real Spidey has been an adult my whole life. Wen was the last time he was a teenage? like the 70s? I mean, I know he didn't even meat Gwen until University, and she was killed in the early 70s.

im 19 and pete has been a teen as long most of my life. he met gwen early in his life and her and MJ rivaled for his heart through high school. the mythos is always changing. but some constants that must never be changed: gwen stacy must die (didnt happen in the movie), doc. conners must turn into the lizard (been around 2 movies and nothing) and pete ust deal wih the challenges of highscool while web swinging. <- that my friend is a period.
it i just the way of it. sam raimi's contrubutions shant be frgotten, but hey cerainly were not the one and only path to be followed. te reason there are litterally thousands of comic series flowing paralell to eachother is because the comic world is more fluid then other realities, always flowing and never following exactly he same path. i want the reboot to see how it will do and hope they are not going to be trapped by a contract to a par direcor and a poor cast.
on a mostly unrelated note, the venom movie sounds cool.

cool dude, though I'm afraid you are wrong, if you are only 19, the real Spidey has been an adult your whole life too. If you were born in 1990. Spidey & MJ were even married already 3 years before you were born

what i am saying is that there is no one defined 'true' story. theymaried in the original but there hs been hundredds of sedries following differentspidermen in differet situationas. most all of them are cannon. spectacular spiderman is one of the most recent incarnation and guess what, hes a kid. spiderman loves mary jain was very popular andwho could have guessed? high school! ULTIMATE SPIDERMAN is the most read tittle in the ultimate marvel line and he is still not a senior in highschool. so befoe you declair that there is but one hero and one story to follow you should bone up on the mythos and the evolving story arcs.
if you want to base everything on the originl story then pete and gwen dadted before oete and mj even met... wait thats not how the raimi movies went were they? and peters first bad guy was doc ock... wait thats not how it happened either. ok how about this? peterand eddie brock were life long friends, eddie brock was an olimpic body builder and was dying of cancr... whats this? yor precious movie ignored all of these things?
there is more then oe story going on, there is morethen one hero to belive in, there is more the one true spiderman. thank you

Ah, I'm afraid there's only one true Spider-man, the original. Everything is based off this. There other versions (Ultimate, Movie, TV) are just alternate incarnations. The original version is the only one that will last forever.
It's the same with Star Trek, where the shows/movies are cannon and the comics/novel/games are not.

perhaps, but the stories are always being revammped and altered as they go. and sometimes for good reason. peter cant always be bitten by a spider that was blasted with radioactivity because we know now that radiation wil probably just melt the spider. in ultimate spiderman he was bitten by a genetically modified super spider... wait didn thy do that in the movie?
in the original stories doc ock had no motives beyond "now i am evil! steal money!" while in the film they gave him a personality and a motive. (all taken from the comic series spectacular spiderman) the storis evolve and life moves on. comic books ability to evole acctually make them better stories in my opinion.
holding to a rigid format laid out almost 60 years ago is hardly progressive and to expect somthing to not chage is insane. you sir, are insane
