I remember Battletoads!Β While the beat 'em up parts were fun the racing levels were awful.Β I never gotΒ past them, not even once.Β I played allΒ the games (except for the Double Dragon crossover) and was very annoyed when I found out they all had a racing level.Β Can anyone tell me if the Double Dragon crossover had a racing level?Β If not, it would probably be my favorite game in the BattletoadsΒ franchise by default.

I like how you drew Rock! (I'm sorry to say this, but I haven't played Battletoads before, I need to look into that when I get the chance. I'm curious about that game now).
I'm starting to get more interested in the mega man games, I played and beat MM ZX on the DS a few years ago, but now I'm starting to play the classics with the first Mega Man game. I always found the MM games that I have played to be on the difficult side for me, but I am currently really far with the first MM game, so this might change! 
Also, I just purchased/started reading Mega Man Megamix vol 1. It's really good! I just finished the first chapter. I have read some of the Archie comics issues of Mega Man and I find it interesting to see the two different interpretations of the same characters, it's really cool! Now I have two Mega Man comic adaptions I need to catch up with!
Sorry if this comment is considered to be a bit random, just wanted to say what I thought about your fan art and of the Mega Man games and manga. (I think it's right for me to say that I'm a new fan of Mega Man now ^^).

I think the most memorable times I played Battletoads was back when my age was still a single-digit number. Even back then I was astute enough to realize that the game was painfully hard and not even my older brother could get past the underground level with the bikes. In retrospect, I think this was due to poor level design, not because the development team wanted it to be unbeatable.

I beat BattleToads once, by pure fucking luck. Ever since I rarely make it further than the bikes.

IMO, the only other game that's maybe harder than Battle Toads is Nintendo's F-Zero X.....HOLLY MOTHER OF WHAT IS RIGHT IN ALL OF THE WORLD!!! Even on "Easy", X and FX just kick my ass in Story Mode! It took me all of 20 tries just to finish the first race! I never got to the point where I beat all the story mode...It's THAT hard! Second would be Ninja Gaiden. But I'd finish the story mode on 1 and two....So it wasn't that bad. Hard difficulty is another story...But NG isn't nearly as serious as BT or F0! Those two games are what I like to call "Pull your hair out of your head" type of games! And for good reason!

Hahaha! I can say with confidence that I was the only one in my group of cousins who was able to finish the original Battletoads and its SNES sequel (which sucked in comparison because it had less levels and race challenges).
Remembering when games were hard... and not in the "man, this game cheats!" way.

Haven't played Megaman 10 yet.
However, I WILL attest to Battletoads being hard. Mostly the 3rd level. Everything else I found relatively straightforward.

I agree, wholeheartedly. While I don't mind challenges in the game, making games for the sake of hard is just aggravating to me.
