My favorite Prime is... NEMESIS PRIME!!!

Anyway...
Primal: Sacrificed himself to save the Earth and his fellow Maximals, and even the Predacons, Then turned into a totally kickass Sky-surfing Gorilla (I don't care what you G1-extremists say; I shall always love the Munkyboard), then saved the life of Optimus Prime (And the entire Transformer Race, not including Tarantulas and the Tripredacus council) (and got himself a pretty badass upgrade in the Process; Trukk AND Munky! And Playne!), and refused to give up even when Megatron was clearly gonna beat him, and then was killed again when he saved Cybertron, then defeated Megatron even when Megs was about to achieve Godhood. Clearly an awesome Prime. (Or Primal, or Munky, or whatever you call him D:<
Animated Prime: Give him some time. He's Young, and he's still learning. But he still beat Starscream and Megatron, And he's an awesome leader ^^
Movie Prime: Yes, his plan was rather crappy (Destroying himself, thus leaving the Earth at the mercy of his Psycho Brother?!) But he totally ripped Bonecrusher apart (Which Bonecrusher hates), and he sure is protective of the fleshy creatures, but still knows how to treat big Jerks (But not like Bumblebee XD), And he has a totally awesome Alt-Mode 8D (not to mention an awesome Holo-driver: [link] )
And what about Shattered Glass Optimus Prime?

My vote falls between the Armada/Energon/Cybertron Prime or Movie Prime. The former because of his...fatherly(?) nature, and the latter simply because I thought he looked and sounded awesome.

Actually, you forgot Optimus Prime From The Robots in Disgiese series, and if you want to talk dying for the cause Primal died three times if you count the Beast Machines series. All that aside, I will always love G1 Optimus.
