Tied between G1 and Armada (I don't group them in a trilogy, even if it is the same guy XD): G1 for the voice, Armada for the personality ^o^

Even though I am dead late on this, I have to go with Optimus Prime, and chuck Rodimus(Hot Rod) off to the sharkticons(why? Long story)...
Primal is-- ok, but he is a Optimus Prime Fan Boy, only rocked when he got the matrix from Optimus Prime and had a moment of Optimus Prime take over.
Armada/Energon/Cybertron Prime(s), I sadly don't count, cause I actually know of the Japanese version, and technically-- They are three different Primes! They are all not one, but three individuals...
Only one I remember was from Cybertron(Galaxy Force) and that is Supreme Commander Convoy(long name dude).
Animated OP is cool, though I love how they took Optimus Prime(G1)'s energy axe and gave it to this guy as a full blown axe.
Now as for the Movie Prime---
I'm just got Peter Cullen to do his voice-- Or I would have hated that Prime. Only saving grace, his original voice actor.
Downside-- he really doesn't seem to care for his troops much

But yea, my favorite is the all time Original and will always be the original, Optimus Prime-- cause there can only be one, true Prime. X3

I have to say G1 Prime. Animated, Primal (the Beast Wars version, I dislike his BM incarnation), Armada (which is the best Prime design in the Unicron Trilogy IMO, while his Cybertron design is sweet, but I dislike his Energon incarnation) and RID (where is he?) are close seconds

Rodimus's a whiny bitch, G1 prime's a 'kenny', flamimus prime's fugly, primal's alright, TFA prime looks better, and unicron trilogy prime's pure badass, so....all except the movie, and rodimus.

I would have to vote for Animated Prime because I like how he's not the all-powerful, holier-than-thou leader. To me, he is a more relatible (did i spell that right? :/) character because, he's not perfect all the time! he's young, he makes mistakes, and has problems, but you can tell he is always trying to do what he thinks is right. He even nearly sacrificed his own life to keep the allspark out of decepticon hands.
I actually like the animation style too, it's a new kind of design for new, different characters.

I'm caught between G1 Prime and Optimus Primal, they seemed to sacrifice themselves a lot more for their causes and comrades than the other Primes.

I'm going for movie prime, why?
He's the most agresive of all primes, He doesn't doubt on threatening humans or even have his own troops aim their weapons at them( Is still laugh when he made the autobots do that) , He freaking beheaded Bonecrusher's head (Bonmecrusher hates being decapitated) , and about the suicidal plan...well, He was put in a oil-drenchin war against his own brother for the last thousands of eons, I guess in reality he just wanted to kill himself to get away from it all(wow, This really isn't backing him up) and remember, He saw his own brother die in front of his eyes, that's some pretty tough shkinadle, wouldn't you say? lastly, what he says in Matt's comic is true "I'm still most well known to kids in the public than any other prime, Deal with it"
Second place Be AEC prime & primal, Armada prime's body design just had a big appeal to me. and BW was the first TF series that I ever started watching.
Third place Animated Prime, Mostly becuase of his voice, it's a new feeling, A young Optimus, and it really fits the character, y'know.

If you count the Optimus Prime duplicate the Quintessons made, then Prime died twice in American G1.

you just can;t please everybody with the animated version, everyone's a critic. same goes for the movie version, even when being spin off's, people will rant rant rant about it for no reason. personally, i think the BW one is the best because he risked his own life more often to stop megatron, even at the cost of his own life, where as the G1 (again, like him as well) was taken down by cheap shots when megatron had a hostage.

the smartest character in the movie was barricade:
"Oh snap! Bonecrusher just got Owned by Prime" (disappears)

I figured he got lost out here in Arizona somewhere stuck on the Loop 101 from the I-10, since that battle was taking place near the I-10 I believe(I know it was in California at least).
I do admit, Barricade did rock in the movie. XD

TWA is a developing character so he's not coming in last.
Movie version ranks 4th because Bay made some smart choices for voice actors.
Rodimus and Unicron Trilogy don't make the cut for their own reasons. Rodimus was too much of a self-doubter and I liked Hotrod better. And UT? Seriously, what kind of leader lets humans tag along, hands out custom uniforms, and they don't even bother to pay the autobots back for them.
To make matters worse, I thought the mini-cons were waaay gimmicky.
