This is basically how I do all my work. I tried to ink something exclusively in photoshop once. It took forever and the results were no different. I don't know how or why other artists do it that way other than they just don't have the pens.

Some folks grew up drawing with a mouse, so it may be more comfortable for them. Me, it's like drawing with a bar of soap. I much prefer using Mr. Scanner.
