I did not make it. We had what is known as a haw-frost and all the spiders webs were covered in it.
I took this shot with my raynox macro lens and used a low depth of field to get the background blur (the background was the brickwork of a house so not very attractive).
I hope that helps?

Really - it was all natures doing I was just lucky to capture it. Nature is awesome !
I have 2 sets of macro lens - the raynox which I got from ebay and I was real lucky because it was only about £26 - they do go for a lot more than that. It has a expanding clip-on mount so if fit quite a few camera and the lens screws into the mount. The second are a set of macro/closeup rings (no more than £15 from ebay - I have a spare set of 55mm ones if interested) - which I did the purple flower with. In my opinion they are no where near as good as the raynox. However, I have just found that if I dont use the closeup ring and just add the macro parts to the raynox lens, push the digital zoom to 22times you can start taking snowflake pictures !
I hope this is clear for you.
Please ask any more question if you like.

We do need to take care of our world ! Who know if our photos will one day be the only reference people have to what it was like ! A sad thought.
Yeah I think I was lucky with the raynox lens - but goes to show its worth keeping an eye on there because there are some bargains.
My camera is odd - it has 12X optical and a futher 36x digital zoom and if I change a setting it goes up to 62x (12 optical rest digital). Obviously the higher you go the worse the quality of the image.
Glad I am helping.
I need to upgrade to a DSLR soon too - just waiting for the right one ! And the cash to pay for it !

BIG Thanx !
I need to sort out my macro setup as this would have been better without all the vignetting.
But yeah please with it and the background colour.

This is great shot. Good composition and interesting subject.
Only thing I'm missing here is the sharpness of the image. Naturally this is partly from the gear and mostly from the high ISO used again.

Im not sure why so many of my pics are iso400 - I can only think it was back to my automatic days where the camera did all the work...I have taken control of this resently so maybeI forgot I had changed it.
I must admit I am finding it hard to remember all the checks I shoud do before each shot...but getting there.
Also need better macro equipment...and short of changing the camera Im unsure where to go with that.
I am planning an esperiement where I compare macro pic with standard pic+crop to see which comes out the best !

I would say that if you want real macro photos, you would need a dSLR. Even any entry level dSLR is able to produce good quality macro photos if it has good macro lens attached to it. Something like Sigma 150mm macro lens with HSM would be quite nice for insects etc, since it would have enough reach and fast autofocus.

I was tempted to say it was a bug too !
I was indeed treasure - was lucky to see it and then have the time to capture it. Think I could have done better.
