I herd you don't read even the tiny descriptions on deviations. There's a new one of these, and I'm a bit offended that you're commending on this one. Lesson to take home: always glance at the description. Some artists put it there for a reason.

I don't know whether I'd count as one of those fans or not. I mean, I really really liked the story from the movie, became enamoured with it.
But then I found and started reading the comics - all the way from the beginning. and they are GOOD.
I want to do this fandom justice and not be a fake fan >[ and I will... I MUST!

Yeeeah. The comics have always been great. For new fans, I'd say the essential ones to read are the first issue, Demon in a Bottle story arc, the Silver Centurion issues (for an intro to Iron Monger), the issues with Titanium Man, The Crimson Dynamo, The Mandarin and especially the 2006 Extremis story arc. That one is GOOD. A lot of stuff in the movie was pulled from that story. Most of these you can find in paperback, and probably get them through the library.
